  • @AddersZXR4 Well..I've had an Evo V RS for 3 years,sold it and were gutted.I had no problems with it...I've got an Evo VI TME now with 470 Hp with no problems what so ever.Everything is forged,rods,pistons,race bearings,arp bolts top and bottom end.If you build everything right there's no problem.Mine uses 1.1 litre pr 10 Km and is very driveable..It's my everyday car :)

    If you've never owned one and had hands on experience with Evos,how do you know? So for your statement...no. :) Cheers.

  • @gmanEVO actually... i have a friend who had an evo 8 fq320. had loads of junk spent into it.. it was somewhere in 600hp area... (i think maybe 500) either way fucking quick for a car no doubt.. could nearly hang with my old ZX6R motorbike... (got waxed by my Gixxer 750 though big time ;). ) either way after 7000 something miles it needed a complete engine rebuild... no longer has the car... he's got a 3000GT. them things are MIIIINT!

  • @gmanEVO Hands on experience? I have built a few and the blocks are ok but as far as the top end and timing goes I will keep my mouth shut and thank god I dont own one. Seems like they always have problems sooner than later.

  • @fabjonjon they probably didn't last because they were built and tuned by an inferior engine builder. if you service regularly and use components built for the power you are aiming for and change timing/balance shaft belts with Heavy duty items every 30,000ks then you shouldn't have any trouble.

  • @dsmsucks One doesn't need to own such car in order to possess knowledge about it... I've seen a lot of drag races of these Japanese ''monsters''... Most usual comment after the race is: Clutch needs changing, gearbox needs changing...etc... That's what I'm trying to tell, japan cars - unreliability... They're usually built so powerful in order to push it for 10, maybe 20 seconds at the most... Now german cars are another story... Both power and reliability are stabilized...

  • @tinsbumi did no one realize the evo was using NOS?..it's used from the 3rd gear..it's easy to see..665hp and this performances?..in another video the same car without NOS struggles with a stock 507hp M5..just to give an idea...the EVO 6 is projected to go with 300hp max..4,77 sec 0-100 with 281hp..excellent..but for this kind of powers the car isn t ready..and the CX is ridiculous..

  • @pazzoallaguida You are obviously ignorant and don't have a clue what you're talking about. ..NOS?..no NOS in this car,just plenty of boost and a very good engine build/map..And if you look back at the video you're refering to you can see CLEARLY that there are two different cars! This one is Swedish..it's black..and has got 665 HP ATW (At The Wheels) (just to put SOME knowledge to you.)..The other one is Norwegian..it's silver..and has 636 HP ATF..(At The Flywheel)..climb back in to your cave.

    Evo is running (of course) on a biiig turbo (you can easily hear the turbo lag).

    It also lacks the rear wing to help it achieve maximum speed.

    when properly modified, the 4g63 that evo/dsm come with is capable of reliably producing over 1000AWHP

    there are STOCK BLOCK evo/dsm that have pushed 700+awhp..

    so it wouldnt be asking that much for a 900awhp evo to race a CCX?

  • My Friend has a 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa! It has 197Bhp (That's 147 kW) It weighs around 250Kg.

    It can do 0180mph (0-290Km/h) in under 16 seconds. It has a top speed of 220Mph (354Km/h).

    It can do a standing 1/4 mile (402 m) in around 9.6 seconds @ 150 mph (241km/h)

    It would beat your friends car!

    That's torque not worth talking about. Real drivers torque comes in much lower than that.

  • The RUF may have gained around 10%+ I'd imagine. I'm sure the ECU needs to know what fuel you're using & it may have to be tunned to get the maximum power.

  • This Evo is just ugly unreliable trash. As I have always said - buy yourself a table or a bed, and then add Jet engine with 5000+ hp on it. This car was just made using this formula. No chance to be beaten in a straight line.
