  • My respect to you and your family sir. It's about time somebody spoke up for us who knows what he is talking talking about. I hope people learn to deal with stuff they do not agree with other than to try and stop it. I agree with you when you say they banned manganas as a form to stop the Mexican tradition in a place where it USED to be Mexico. What they are trying to do us exactly what they did to the Indians to try and exterminate them.

  • I think you say it best at 8:30, "...so when opponents complain about animals being used in charreria, you are dealing with people who have no concept of tradition, history or human nature". I think one of the most frightening facets of the age we live in is the rapid breakdown of cultural identity and purpose - all in the name of industry and big business. Without diversity - wether it be cultural, ethnic or lifestyle orriented, we stand facing a world of ever fewer freedoms. SIEG HEIL!

  • @stormbringer126 High school football players die every year as a result of injuries. Should we make high school football illegal? Of course there is danger, the question is, does the danger outweigh the benefit. If you look at the danger on mangana in a critical way, you will see that it is slight. If you use healthy animals, the number of animals injured are almost non-existant. The benefit is the promotion of family values that is apparrent in every charreada

  • Thank you for the video link i as well have rodeo video put up to I'm totally for it!

  • I agree it not that dangerous to the horses it can be though but it like in barrels my horse has slipped countless and numerous times and never been hurt YeT!!! thank god. But still I jump also and know the risk of it anything you do can cause injury to animal and or person. I have spoke out on many shark videos. I was just speaking on the one video I saw I have never seem or heard of it till then

  • @Scarred636 so agreed!

  • Congratulations for your video is very profesional and reflect the reality of what is charreria !! Its great know that people like you have the good understanding of mexican culture.

  • love this video, thank you for posting it !!

  • Someone PLEASE tell me HOW this is safe!?

  • @hamsters1245 Because of the way the horse is caught. The horse is dropped on its shoulder like they are trained to do in movies. In mangana, the whole purpose is to capture the animal without hurting it. You don't want to hurt them, if for no other reason, then it cost too much to pay for an injured animal. Charros have been capturing horses like this for centuries. If they had been hurting them on a regular basis, they would have stopped.

  • @RMJ8757: OMG thank u soooo much for speaking the truth of charreria because everything u said 100% was correct and coming from a huge family that participates in charreria events i must say u are a hero. Also when u started speaking of family and culture and how charreria plays a huge role in our lives I was in awe because its soo true....thank u soo soo much for shedding light on this aspect of Mexican culture...thank u

  • @mesillas8 AMEN! :)

  • Don´t even try to tell me the horse in 1:03 is fine. -.-

  • @Rimfaxe96 You putts, the horse at 1:03 was killed in steeplechase. Look for a SHARK vieo against steeplechase or XC. You will not find one. That is because you can kill all the horses you want in those events and the rights people don't care. The jumpers give too much money.

  • Excellent Video it was about time some one showed the truth. I was tired of watching hypocrite videos from animal activists. Again GOOD job!!

  • Thank you for showing this to me. I personally love going to the rodeo and hope to have the opportunity to compete in team roping someday. Clearly I somehow managed to be suckered into believing what the last video I saw about mangana said about the 'brutality' caused to the horses.

  • now this guy knows wat hes talking about

  • thank you for this. it IS our culture and my boyfriend was so mad when SHARK said its was dangerous and despicible.

  • thank you, i agree, manganas dont hurt horses, im a charro here in the usa, im from texas and this law is bull shit, and i also agree with that they only did this because is a mexican sport, lets put the rodeos for example, (roping) i know that horses dont get hurt, but have you seen the calves when they rope them? it looks like their about to break their neck... how come they dont outlawed that yet?... or crosscountry?

  • Thanks. I totally agree with you...They have no idea what they were talking about. I have been around horses my whole life and my great uncle has told my how they use to catch wild mustangs by their front legs all the time and only one had to be shot.

  • manganas doesnt hurt animals

  • please dont take this as im against the sport,, everyone to their own.. its just a question? thankyou

  • I appreciate this video and happy to see someone actually tell the truth and is not afraid to say it. I am disgusted with some of the things i read online about either the managnas or the charreria in general.like in one article they said that we also do cock fights and dog fights in the lienzo...some even say that its were alot of drug deals happen, and that is NOT what the charreria is for!!!

  • @CHARROBILLY exaclty

  • I do not allow animal rights activist to post, since most of their rhetoric is profane and my wife is tired of the immature ranting. The supporting post are allowed to show Eric Mills that other Charros support traditional mangana. On this page, the rule is, if you have proof that traditional mangana is seriously dangerous to horses, post it and it will be approved and shown. Proof is not theory, proof is not conjecture. It is pictures or videos of horses being hurt in the lienzo.

  • @RMJ8757 I am Mexican and I have notice how some people tend to discriminate Mexican tradition. Excellent Video it was about time some one showed the truth. I was tired of watching hypocrite videos from animal activists. Again GOOD job!!

  • Thank You for this video! and thank you for supporting Charreria!!

  • Good video

  • Can you tell me in what states of the US are the manganas prohibited? I agree with you. Manganas are outlawed because it is a Mexican sport.

  • Thank you Randy for your support of the Charreria. I have fought to save this sport & I agree with you that manganas are only outlawed because it is a Mexican sport. I have argued about why other sports with horses that have obstacles are not stopped. Its because we dont have the money anymore. We used have the sponsors until our mangans were banned. But why are steeplechases, where horses get tripped and hurt, not prohibited by law? Oh wait they are prohibited but its just not enforced.
