This is a formidable song composed by Adi Sankara. The whole poem deals with the theme of God's immediate extension of help and kindness in the journey of our life. Metaphorically life is compared to the following situations:

1. O God, I wander in the forest surrounded by fire, the fire of my desires. Please rescue me as you had done in the case of the deer engulfed by the hunter and the fire. I would post other stanzas later
