Second, the UN have reported up to 500,000 casualties, but you're right, the government claimed that only 10,000 have died, and there is really no way to know for sure. Third, millions of people have been displaced due to the second civil war, and with the beginning of the Darfur-conflict, over one million southerners had fled to Darfur and some to Chad. And by the way, the Arab Janjaweed is a militia that is funded by the government to kill non-Arabs.

Not completely true. Sudan was a province of Egypt (not an independent nation) up until Nasser came and then the two countries split with a piece of land still being disputed between the two (but the Egyptian military occupies it).

Second, the UN have reported up to 500,000 casualties, but you're right, the government claimed that only 10,000 have died, and there is really no way to know for sure. Third, millions of people have been displaced due to the second civil war, and with the beginning of the Darfur-conflict, over one million southerners had fled to Darfur and some to Chad. And by the way, the Arab Janjaweed is a militia that is funded by the government to kill non-Arabs.

in its 50 years, since it was invented by the brits, sudan's only had relative peace for 10 years (in the 70's). it is not a real country, does not and has not operated that way, and is constantly splintering off. sudan does not deserve to exist, and this guy here deserves to be dropped in the middle of a village in darfur after the gangaweed's just left, so that the locals, this governments victims, can do what they will with him.

i hate to burst your bubble but the borders of all of the countries in africa (with the possible exception of ethiopia) were set by the imperialist powers (france, germany, u.k. and u.s.)! the u.s. wants to split the central government in khartoum off from darfur because china has all of the oil contracts in darfur!

Not completely true. Sudan was a province of Egypt (not an independent nation) up until Nasser came and then the two countries split with a piece of land still being disputed between the two (but the Egyptian military occupies it).
But you're still a hell of a dumbass for saying Sudan shouldn't exist.

i knew what you meant. basically i agree with you. my point was that all modern nation states (not just the ones in africa) are "invented". and that's actually the problem. it is very easy to "invent" a new nation state since they are all invented anyway. and the western powers use this to gain control of strategic resources.
