  • why is this song on every single video? kill it now!

  • This would be an okay video, if it wasnt for the damn song...

  • someone needs to armor-pierce this song

  • what's up with this fucking SONG!?!?!?

  • All bow down for the Youtube National Anthem.

  • I have no idea where the idea of steel core bullets being considered AP rounds...but seems like alot of people call it as such. I've shot steel core surplus for a number of years, it doesn't seem to be able to pop a hole through the steel stoppers on the far end of the range to be banned from it yet.

  • @R5H4D0W Steel core bullets became known as AP not to say they pierce vehicle armor but body armor. Hence why we switched from the 55 gr M193 FMJ (aka the little bullet that made the big hole) to the 62 gr M855/SS109 FMJBT. In the late 70s and the 80s, we became less worried about damaging our target and more worried about the body armor they were clad with.

  • ha ha you song can't face up to my MUTE BUTTON of DESTRUCTION ha ha ha

  • I hate this song :(

  • what the hell fires 30mm rounds???

  • Why won't this song DIE!!!!!

  • 0:19 I saw a couple of these in my mom's room.

  • not this song again -.-

  • STOP. USING. THIS. FUCKING. SONG.

  • Discarding Sabot whether fin stabilized, or spin, is a sub caliber, A.P. munition. a full caliber kinetic A.P. penetrator is called Shot. There is also A.P. shell, which has an Explosive filling which is base fused, it perfs the armor, the fuse then detonates the filling once the round is inside the target. Then there is the H.E.A.T munition, that uses the energy of a shaped explosive charge to penetrate armor. Heat munitions are always full caliber, the larger, the better.

  • I swear I hear this dont again...

  • 0:26 this is SABOT not AP acuratelly APFSDS fin stabilized penetrator round, AP = low caliber explosive round with shaped cone, high caliber rounds like AP was named HEAT. Is also 25mm sabot like this too.

  • Is it correct that a kinetic energy round (sub-caliber) wouldn't be a shell? Because afaik a shell carries an explosive charge, and sub-caliber munitions don't. Thus the tank round used most often wouldn't be a shell, correct?

  • @Zangizo No. A shell is simply a payload carrying projectile. KE rounds are carrying payloads as well, the sub-caliber penetrator.

  • Ammo at 27 is 30mm.

  • @minuteman2012 Well yeah, it says that it's 30x173mm right at the top of the drawing. This video is absolute crap. It says IED killing rounds. I think they generally use 7.62x51mm or 12.7x99mm to destroy IEDs. There are 5.56, 30mm, and fucking tank rounds in this video. The music blows too.

  • @DamnYourReallyUgly No dude, lead hasn't been used since pre-30-06 days. Plain lead bullets are not good at high velocity, they leave lead in the barrel. Hence the development of jacketed bullets. Today, most bullets are a core of lead covered in a soft copper alloy. It was probably a sintered lead-free or frangible round.

  • 0:26 wtf!!!

  • @DamnYourReallyUgly those are 5.56 rounds, not .50cal. the bullet is too short for it to be a .50.

  • thumps up to ban this music from youtube!

  • 0:27 wtf!!!

  • @DamnYourReallyUgly Are you saying that they don't make bullets from lead anymore?

  • @sexcrime He's spouting crap. Lead is used to make bullets because it is dense and heavy, making it good at delivering kinetic energy, but it is also soft and leaves traces in gun barrels. For hunting use when only a few rounds are fired on each trip this isn't an issue but a military weapon may be required to fire hundreds of rounds before the user gets a chance to clean it properly so a build-up of lead in the barrel is very dangerous, hence the need to jacket bullets in a harder metal.

  • .50 cal, Saboted Light Armor Penetrator-Tracer SLAP-T, M962 can penetrate 32 inches of concrete or 12 inches of titanium :O

  • @SkullKing11841 Bingo. Glad somebody knew what the damned things are, reading through these comments talking about mortar shells and shaped charges and all kinds of other nonsense has been like watching monkeys trying to gang rape a doorknob.

  • hate this song

  • Why would you put this stupid song on this video when pretty much everybody hates it?

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy because he's an autistic retard, 009 should be banned from the internet.

  • @mrabuckten gotta get close enough.

  • @mrabuckten

the commander has a M240 mounted next to his hatch, plus his own M4 and possibly an M9

    you go ahead

  • @Sturmmann Ha, right on, any pistol sidearm?

  • @phil656565

    The M9 is a pistol...

  • "oh hai, lets take $1500 worth of ammo and shoot land mines with it!"

    *US soldiers all cheer

seriously though, dont they have technology than handles with IEDs?

they arent Anti-handling devices (God bless the retard who created those)

  • @MrThembones Hahaha, good point, but imagine the amount of IEDs and land mines soldiers come across it's a lot more cost effective and time effective simply to set off the unexploded ordnance by shooting at it, rather then get a specialist in to neutralise the explosives. make sense?

  • @MrThembones

Rather shoot them than have a man go up and try to defuse it...

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun

    Mk19 dude...

    fuck this small arms shit

40 mil HE defused more IEDs than actual EOD

  • the first pic is 30-06 cases with sabots holding 223 rounds gives you a velocity of about 4500fps just incase some of you wanted to know!

  • type gift before youtube to get a prize

  • Do the ones at the beginning have a tungsten dart or is it steel?

  • @theantiredneck id say tungsten i havent heard of Ap rounds with steel inserts they make them just not classified as AP

  • ok everyone at 0:06 its nothing more soild copper 12gauge slugs with some kind of point

  • I have hella black tip 30-06!!! really good milsurp AP ammo

  • were the hell did u get tracers

  • you can order tracers and all that shit online just google it

  • @labartic its not that easy to find chuck norris on google

  • at 0:5 its .22 accelerator

  • At 0:23 looks like Crayons! Haha...Nice Ammo btw and shoot them..don't take pictures of them!

    Cool Vid!

  • Stop making cartridges compilations, shoot them...

  • The lineup of 5.56 at 0:10 is not armor piercing. The first one is a standard FMJ, second, an M855 with a steel core, but not considered an AP round. Third, I'm not familiar with, though it looks like a cupronickel jacket, which is pretty odd. Fourth, soft point, made expand and impart more energy, not penetrate. Not familiar with that roundnose, but round isn't a good AP shape. Red's a M856 tracer. Second to last is a plastic case, plastic projectile training round, hardly penetrates air.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames the two on the ends are fmj 2nd to last is actually a blank

  • @Vexzm the last two? at 0:25? (there are 3 btw)

those are shaped charges, like from a tank but smaler

  • @Assi2004 well kind of... they are DPU rounds (depleted uranium) and function like shap charges but are not considered them... and the bottom one is 105mm and is a tank round and the top 2 are 65 or 70 mm mortar DPUs

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames STOP BEING SO CRITICAL!

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames third from the right is a fragmentation round.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames Black tipped ammo is the standard NATO designator for AP rifle rounds. For 5.56 this would be the M955 round.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames I would beg to differ about the second to last pic. that is a sabot on the bullet it is made to neck down artillery shells to fire from a larger bore. In other words a faster thinner bullet made to penetrate not decimate.

  • @AreThereNoMoreNames do you play MW2 cause the only other place i heard the term FMJ is MW2

  • :25 sabot tank shell ment for tank on tank combat

  • YOU 'MUST' BE A GENIUS TO KNOW WHAT ARMOUR PIERCING BULLETS DO
