People need to realise that democratic regimes are actually not democratic, this system is of a bygone era when a man to represent thousands of people in another part of the country was necessary but due to modern communications/ technology they are no longer needed. They do not serve the will of the people at all and need to be replaced, the parties they represent work against democracy! The people should propose new legislation/ laws/ changes, then the people approve it!

Labour was borrowing £1 for every £4 they spent. They were over borrowing during good times BEFORE the crisis, when they should have been saving up for a rainy day.

The USA, as Labour supporters like to point out, actually also racked up their deficit BEFORE the banking crisis. In other words, the UK was well scr*wed before the banks near collapse. The UK got tipped into it's current recession by idiotic bailing out of the corrupt banks. We would have gone into recession sooner or later anyway as Labour's borrowing and spending was unsustainable.
@liarpoliticians After the war a much more battered and skint Labour Government still managed to form the welfare state and the NHS and pay off the debt slowly.At No point did any government TORY Labour, LIB/LAB or CON/DEM ever express the need to pay it off within 5 years. If Labour hadn't have tied Britain up with the rest of the Globe then we wouldn't have been privy to the problems with the Globalist system. Seeing as our banks are so intertwined with that system then they are so badly hit.
That combined with the housing bubble created by the supply and demand (through mass immigration) or lack of supply to demand, then the banks wouldn't have lent all their money to porspecive home owners buying over valuated houses.
