  • if you're willing to cry your soul, definitely go for this movie!

  • What is the name/composer of that first piece ? It's in hundreds of movies, but i've never know the name.

  • @loveoutloud224 It's nocturne in C sharp minor by Frédéric Chopin.

  • @loveoutloud224 Nocturne in C-shar Minor (1830)

  • They have this movie as a drama. This is more of a horror film to me.

  • is grand filmme soo vendo

  • let the piano talk

  • amazing quality

  • the actor is looking a bit like chopin, though.

  • -sniffles-

    Fav movie ever... -crys-

Imma go watch it right now

  • The fact that it never becomes didactic or uses cheap sentimentality is outstanding.

  • @Medafets

Well, it is a POLANSKI movie, you know! ;o)

  • so sad :'(

  • i remember watching this in my history class in gr 9 and now im 21 years old still loving this movie

  • I think this would be such a good, interesting movie... but I just know it'll make me cry...

  • @CritiquingCricket I bawled my eyes out all the way through, but I still think it is one of the best films I have ever seen.

  • @CritiquingCricket

Watch it! Just DO it! (just keep some hankerchiefs handy...no big deal)

  • that's my favourite movie!

    love it!

  • No matter how many times I watch the movie, I always cry. Even watching the trailor made me cry. This is really a great film.

  • Great film one of my favorite.....

  • I can't believe the trailer starts with the beautiful Chopin Nocturne I am practising at the moment, I have just closed the piano! :)

Now I have to watch the movie!

  • they make us watch this movie in history? when what grade r u suposed to be in?

  • @lovegameme1

Those are the heads of the Ghetto. Nazis usually needed police force inside the Ghettos, and they chosed people who also lived inside. They had to do every order that the Nazis gave them, it was some kind of minor police inside the Gheto.

  • Just the trailer makes me cry so much, the whole movie is another story

  • what happened to the people that were locked in the train in 1:00 ??

  • @Sylvanyicool the movie is about WWII, the holocaust...so they all died

  • @Sylvanyicool I rewatched the film yesterday. I don't believe they ever came back...

  • After this film I was shocked that so terrible, cruel things had happend in history of our world. I dont have any words to say how sad I am about this. I hope that thanks to this film everybody in the world will know better history od Poland and the Jewish nation.

  • the actual movies about WWII are about the people who ran and refuge during that war! and not an army vs army anymore! we understad much more now!

  • I started to cry whilst watching this trailer. That says a lot.

  • Who are those officers that have jew arm bands on?

  • I have to say i watch this movie in history and it touched my heart, I can't get his sad face out of my mind. This movie has changed me. I cried, but i love this movie

  • i watched it last night, i am shocked :O it was so scary, so crazy time, ohh god, i am so scared by this film :(:( i am so pity of those poor people who died in the second word war :(:(:(

  • I HOPE A LOT OF GERMANS SAW THIS MOVIE

  • @Skansener alot if germans do not approve of nazism today. alot of the jews who died were german anyway

  • @Skansener Germany wasn't just one big pile of Nazi supporters, a lot of people were against Nazism, there were resistance groups in Germany as well. All men were drafted, you couldn't say no unless you wanted to get killed. It's not all black and white, but ignorance is bliss i guess

  • Obviously the people who cried while watching this hadn't seen Schindler's List, that film is far more emotionally wrenching, the only sad part of this movie is the fact that the German officer who saved him died in a soviet prison camp.

  • @DyingSID666 I agree that Shindler's List was very emotional, however it is far beyond your mind to be critisising others emotion through this. The only reason movies are emotional on any level is what people interpret how things are portrayed. The characters and the story combined, not just the story. You have no room at all to critisize others emotional journey through a movie. This movie is just as emotional, just on another level.

  • @broadwaystar2011 I think your forgetting the actual story, its about one Jews persistence to survive and people who helped him, Schindler's List is about a man who risked death at every corner and bankrupted himself to save the lives of nearly 1200 Jews, that is far more touching to me, depends upon what movie you prefer I guess. The Pianist is also an amazing film but isn't in the same universe of film making as Schindler's List.

  • @DyingSID666 What's more, this is the first popular WWII movie that shows struggle through a perspective that is nearly forgotten in all of the talk about the war: those who hid from the Nazis and survived on their own without going to a death camp.

  • @broadwaystar2011 Stanley Kubrick was planning a movie called "Aryan Papers" about the same situation but between a Jewish Mother and her son, it went close to production, but as they were going to start Schindler's List came out and Kubrick dropped out. I can see why the Academy didn't give The Pianist best picture, they didn't want to convey the message that if any good holocaust film comes out it automatically wins best picture.

  • @DyingSID666

if kubrick did make aryan papers he definately wouldve won his first/only oscar for direction, even though he shouldve won for strangelove/2001. and theres no denyin the academy arw zionist! But i dont think the academy have any genuine sympathy towards the jews that died durin ww2, they only award these films/performances to further propogate their political agenda. which is why no anti-israel/vietnam/homo/govt film ever won a notably award.

  • amazing..it s my favourite

  • I nearly cried. I never cry. Such a beautifuly devastating masterpiece.

  • I cried so hard when I saw this film

  • הנאצים הם אנשים חסרי לב ורעים

צריך להרווג את כולם כמו שהם הרגו את העם שלנו!

  • so fucking glad this didn't have a narrator/announcer.

  • @pyonshimmie No narrator needed for something we all should know that happened. Any holocaust deniers should be denied the privilege to comment here!

  • started crying at "papa"

  • thanx man ... better than the original one.

  • amazing movie, didn't know the director was Roman Polanski. They should make a movie about him, he's had a harsh life to say the least....

  • @jstealth89 He made it already - The Pianist.

  • @HalfLifeHalfDead haha true i suppose.

  • What name is first song (piano) ?

  • @Knky1234 Chopin nocturne no 20 in C sharp minor ;)

  • @Knky1234

Written by Frédéric Chopin (as Fryderyk Chopin)

  • music is his passion survival is his masterpiece

  • such a good film

    plus, Chopin is amazing <3

  • mui liindo tema el qe esta tocando

  • what's this film about? is it about how bad the nazi's were towards the jews?

  • @Filthdrive

Its the story of a Polish Jew pianist and his sufferings under Nazi occupation.

  • @densaugeo he also gets a lot fo un expected help lets say it is luck

  • Amazing.

  • A career-defining performance by Adrien Brody.

  • One of the best movies ever from that historic time. Cheers Brody.

  • whoever tells me the song at the begging that starts from 0:24 will get a free sub!!

  • Fuck you. 07 is your IQ

  • @3DSFuture Aus dem Fenster mit Ihm!

  • #OMG Truly heart touching movie

  • #OMG Truly heart touching movie

  • #OMG Downloacl or watch this movie online роор.su

  • I think it's especially moving for people from Warsaw, I cried so much on this film. Our capital still wears the marks of "razoring to the ground", Hitler's command. Even if the film has flaws I ignored them, it's one of my favourites and Adrien's somewhat melancholic eyes are perfect for the role.

  • BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!!!

  • This film should be rated as high as Schindler's List...both were magnificent portraits of a time of evil inflicted upon the Jews.

  • we watched this today in history...summer school

i love it, it's a must see movie and a true classic <3

  • great movie

  • Oh, God! I DO really have to watch this movie!

  • whats the song called in the beginning, with the piano

  • @jjweaver830: Look up "Wladyslaw Szpilman" and you should find it, it's the person this film is based on and the character Adrien Brody plays...And it's his piece of music.

  • @jjweaver830; It's either that or "Janusz Olejniczak - Nocturne in C-sharp minor"

  • @albiinoankka hell yes

  • ha ha i watched tis film in R.E today!! they guy in the weel chair was kinda funny tbh

  • @albiinoankka yes !

  • i cryed when that old lady gets mugged from the old guy and she walks away crying ;O

  • I don't think you can ever consider yourself Jewish unless you've seen this and Schindler's List

  • @EYDstudios Good point. Schindler's List was an amazing and terribly sad film.

  • Jews should always remember their history

  • it's not about remembering it forgetting in order to forgive the other's.

  • @MrScaryusername rubbish. You should never forget. teach your children is the path to forgiver. Noone in right mind can forget.

  • I love this movie!

  • one of my favorite movies ever :D

  • honestly, this trailer is nothing compared to the movie. The Pianist is defintley worth watching/buying.

  • @jojoisownage Absolutely. This movie is a masterpiece in every way.

  • yes.

  • @matthewinnj08 yes.

  • @matthewinnj08 yes but you could just watch it for free online. or download it by torrent.

  • does anybody know the music at :27?

  • "Moving To The Ghetto Oct. 31, 1940" by Wojciech Kilar, this track is from the soundtrack. But what you hear in the video is probably a sped up version.

  • ahh ok, thank you!

  • Thanks for putting up the trailer! I've been meaning to watch this film to see Adrien Brody's Oscar-worthy performance, but I wanted a sneak peek first.

  • Fantastic film. Thanks for posting this. It was pretty gripping. Five stars.
