The three rings deal was kinda of a cluster fuck in my opinion. it might of been original for it''s time, but it's kinda difficult to follow.

I bought this back in the day. It was epic - instant schoolyard credibility.

Here's the scenario - four mates, a Friday afternoon off of school, some good weed, a shit load of munchies and soft drink and three hours of awesomeness. Then we'd play Lan Quake with Reaper Bots for a few hours and fall asleep watching 2010 on Turner Network Television.

The 90s - when EVERYTHING was better.

@GlitchMasta - If I'm not mistaken, I believe the reason is because of an 'incident' back stage. Grunge and Rock had plenty of altercations with WCW when they joined the roster originally.

WCW World War 3 96 good times.I was at this event up high almost in the nose bleed seats. I was only 7 years old. My mom took me as an early christmas present. Only ppv I ever got to go to.Really thought Lex was going to win the match.I never forget Lex getting the Giant sorta in the rack.Rey Mysterio did really good in this match considering he did not stand a chance.

A couple things I prefer about World War 3 Battle Royal to Royal Rumble. - WW3 doubles the wrestlers giving more opportunity - WW3 has everyone start giving a fair opportunity. -WW3 has a jam packed ring. - WW3 has all the big stars in it from beginning to end, no dead times with lowcarders. - No 60 minute wait for entry 30.

@TheSWFuniverse Good points, but there's one big strike against it. With so many guys going at once, nobody benefits because it's so hard to follow any one wrestler (especially with the triple split screen). It's just this mass of wrestlers and you can only coherently follow it once enough guys are eliminated that it gets down to one ring. And if that's the case, why not just do a normal one ring battle royal with fewer guys? The Royal Rumble allows a much better pace.

The winner gets to face the CHAMP of their chosing (Raw or Smackdown champ). IT be just like the Rumble for Wrestlemania. I think it be really really awesome to bring this back. People love battle royals!
