  • Rest in Peace Bonzo.... I plan on taking a trip to England soon to see some of the historical places for bands like Zeppelin and The Beatles.

  • Play any music you like....he liked a lot of different kinds of music.....BTW....he bought me a beer in NYC 1968....in a place called Nobody's on Bleeker St.

  • When in England that's a stop I intend to make to pay my respects to the greatest rock drummer that ever lived.

  • just enjoy the movie and be glad u get to see it glad bless

  • I live just over 1 mile from there and i visit about 2 times a year to go see his grave

  • Moby Dick was actually a bunch of his fills and Jimmy Page arranged them, put'em together and created Moby Dick, just read a biography on Bonham, everyone interviewed said he hit the skins harder than anyone in his time, R.I.P. John!

  • world will never forget you

  • Ringo is turning in to rock's Jerry Lewis.

  • one day im going to his grave.

  • R.I.P.

  • i am gonna visit this cemetary before i die and pay my respects to the greatest drummer to live

  • JOHN BOHAM FOREVER LA PUTA BESTIA.

  • Ha or play some ZEPP!!

  • you could re release without the music - that would change this.

it's a quite time anyway and never wrong to observe in silence.

  • :( R.i.p

  • Is this what Joe bonamassa means in his song: John Henry?

  • John Bonham........Simply the best at syncopation.

  • JB and Ringo taught me to play drums and they didn't even know me. Album after album after album. They were called albums back in the day for those too young to remember. Used to think it was a strange combo...Ringo and JB. Now I realize that I had the best of both worlds. Ringo for time keeping and unusual backward fills and JB for groove and technique. As for Ringo being overrated. There are still some fills and timing that defies me. Don't confuse simplicity for poor drumming.

  • what about Charlie Watts-The Rolling Stones.

  • RIP John Bonham

  • RIB John Bonham. Ive been a fan of Led Zeppelin since 1984 at the age of 14. This is the first time I ever seen an actual photo or video of his grave, powerful. Brings things into prespective.

  • I think if you'll listen close you'll find that the thunder in the sky sounds different - a little bigger, a little more violent - since Bonham left us. Rock on JHB.

  • The guy drank himself to death lets be honest about it.

  • @heyazzhole Totaly true, was the price to pay...

  • @heyazzhole Yeah, he was human. But when it comes to drumming, he influenced more musicians and brought joy to more people's lives than most anyone else who was had the misfortune of dying the way he did.

  • What sort of music is that to play, it sounds like that shit you get when you go to a hotel and turn on their channel.

  • how the fuck can u dislike this video?!

  • this video brought tears to my eyes..

  • we miss you

  • 30 years ago today RIP Bonzo 1980 sad year in music first in Feb. with Bon Scott then in Sept. with John Bonham then Dec. with John Lennon

  • RIP

  • 30 yrs ago today rip john and thanks for all you gave us..

  • I type these words on September 25 2010. Thirty years ago the world lost the greatest percussionist to ever live. We miss Bonzo!

  • I agree with mdmassimino play some Moby Dick, thats how Bonzo should be remembered awesome solos I miss you Bonzo I love you :D

  • @williamq19 again: I had to replace the music with this shit, 'cause of legal rights......

  • this is the last tune Bonham would have wanted people to hear. YUK

  • How in the world did a Ringo conversation get started on a Bonham thread. RIngo was great, but the Beatles and Zep are comPLETEly different bands. Bonham was PERFECT for that ZEP. Ringo was PERFECT for the Beatles. that's it

  • that music is some sappy shit

  • thanks john i love you. without u me and all of us would be lost

  • Aw, I cried seeing this. I love how there was a shirt with his symbol on it. :'(

  • Where is all this talk comeing from? We are visiting a mans grave & all I see are petty arguments.Thank the person that posted this video. He brought a visit to us that alot of ppl cannot get to & yet you complain.Thank you marcelbonzo 4 giving me the opertunity to visit mr.bonhams grave to say a prayer.Hopefully ppl will do the same.If you'd like to visit, pay your respect like a normal human being.Be happy in paradise 4 ever & thanx 4 all the enjoyment you brought into our life.I miss you! AMEN!

  • Man, if you're gonna show John Bonham's grave don't play that sappy love song music behind it.

  • @mdmassimino : I had to, because of copyright etcetera........

  • i almost cried when i saw all the gifts there by bonzo's grave. RIP

  • ringo is a douche.. he could not play drumms..

    Idiotic people.

  • When I get on the Net and find quotes from these great rock drummers (Appice, Gillan, etc) who gush over Bonzo in their admiration for his playing then I am convinced that he was the greatest rock drummer ever.

  • John Henry Bonham - The reason i became a drummer RIP

  • 31 MAY 1948; the day the greatest drummer in the history of rock'n'roll was born.

25 SEPTEMBER 1980; the day the world mourned his passing

    RIP JOHN HENRY (BONZO) BONHAM.

  • Comparing drummers is like comparing anything apart from sportsmen - sport can be defined, regulated and measured. Drumming and any music is an ART - the artist is always unique, John, Keith, Buddy, Carl, Ringo, Louis or whoever are individual - can you compare Titian with Picasso? or Johnny Rotten with David Coverdale?? It depends on who is listening as much as anything!

  • R.I.P MASTER of the DRUMS!!!

  • why the mention of other drummers????? You see the name in stone??? John Bonham was more a man then a drummer, he loved his family more then work really. I know there are people who are great at what they do but this one isn't around to do it no more and the other drummers mentioned are and if not then mention them on videos that are theres have som @#$%'in respect

  • that was beautiful

  • RIP John

You will always flight in the highest part of my heart

  • i have been playing the drums for 30 yrs....john henry bonham has been my idle for all that time....his resting place is the cover of my utube channel..!!!!!.....damm we lost an unbelievable talent.

  • Rest in peace my love. Goodnight

  • Ive been there. Such a nice place. RIP John.

  • @kmp3000 how did you find it?

  • i want the 3 john binham rings as my only tattoo , im against tattoos but must pay homage to bonham and how he inspires me

  • @rko123jja ...Hey rko...how'd the tattoo turn out? Ive got the SwanSong tatted on my upper left arm....Very kool, tho its about 15 yrs old, it needs to be touched up a bit..

    LedHeds 4ever!!!

  • @LedHed65 im 16 so i cant get one for 2 years but im still set on the idear

  • Ringo wasn't allowed to play on most studio recordings? What are you talking about?

  • Every drummer has his own style of playing. It's not fair to "compare' . Bonham, in my opinion, was the best hard rock drummer of all time. Ringo was the best "fit" for the Beatles. Lennon and McCartney did not want a "great" or "good looking" drummer. That's why they got rid of Pete Best. Lennon and McCartney wanted the focus of The Beatles to be on them, not the drummer and not Harrison. Both drummers and their bands have given us a lifetime of the greatest rock music in history.

  • Ringo wasn't even allowed to play on most studio recordings. He was not an accomplished musician.

  • Well put runescape. Ringo was a good drummer on the less complicated songs through '64. On Rubber Sole he ruins at least one song by slowing down. "Rain" is less than stellar as well. Shears, however was a good drummer for Lennon! ["Ballad of John and Yoko"]

  • Anyone know the name of the song or artist playing in this video?

  • I like how they didn't go crazy with his tombstone, like a 12 foot high one. It's just a normal one like everyone else. THat's pretty sweet

  • Mr. Bonham...best rock n roll drummer

  • RIP John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham. your work will always be loved and remembered.

  • R.I.P. JOHN BONHAM....THE BEST EVER

  • BONZO THE BEAST ......

  • By far the best drummer. Who else is there??

  • RIP Bonzo

  • TO GLORIOS HEROES OF HARD ROCK

  • Always Remember the Best of The Best Usually Die young

Bonham, Moon, Hendrix, Bon Scott, Joplin ETC...

  • Just wanna add to your list. Layne Staley, Chuck Shouldiner, Dimebag

  • @ThatEricDude

Yeah I cant forget Dimebag or the other two RIP the the great

  • I am wondering where John Bonhams last resting site is. It looks like a beautiful place. RIP John Bonham

  • It seems like a lot of great musicians die before their time. Some even die before they get popular such as our friend Steve who was murdered when leaving the recording studio. If you want you can check out Steve Swan's last reording on youtube His last song was "We all die before before our time". He was a fan of Zepplin, Beatles, Grateful Dead ect...

  • RIP Bonham. u fuckin rocked dude

  • i almost cryed :(

rip JHB hope ur stairway to heaven wasnt so bumpy

  • You can't put all these drummers together! They all have their own style and they are all great! I look who plays their kit like an instrument, and even Ringo is in with that crowd. My favorite drummer is Bonham. I like Ringo's style too, he is way under rated.Lennon quoted once that "Ringo was like a metronome, never missing a beat. Sure, there are more technical drummers, but Ringo's a great drummer." You guy's quit bashing one for the other just because YOU think their better. Grow up!

  • You are so right!! Ringo is underrated...indeed, maybe he is the best drummer in the world!!!

I am a Zep addict and like the way Bonzo put the beat together......but hey....Ringo is in that same line of drummers........I am sure about that!!!!

    Thanks for your comment!

    Bonzo1971

  • Ringo is the most overrated drummer of all time.

  • @DirtmagnetRocks just as the beatles are the most overrated band of all time

  • @DirtmagnetRocks I know this is Bonzo's gravesite but I have to comment on Ringo's blurb. Anyone know who Cris Carter is? They used to say all he did was catch touchdowns. All Ringo did was play hits. His approach was artisitic. If he were not a Beatle it would not have been that way but he was and they got carte blanche when it came to studio time. He is timeless just like my fav, Mr Bonham. RIP Bonzo.

  • @DirtmagnetRocks eh i would have to say travis barker is more overrated but thats just my opinion lol

  • @DirtmagnetRocks not even close........

  • I've been defending Ringo for 40 years. Anyone who denies his influence simply doesn't see the big picture. I play in a BEatles tribute band and the drums are extremely unique! He was a freaking genius!

  • The sad truth is Paul played drums on most of the albums because Ringo was not good enough. Look it up and find the truth. Ringo cant hold Buddy Rich or Neal Pearts sticks. He was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. A passable drummer at best. Just because you play in a tribute band dont make him the best. Just your favorite. I respect that but really, Listen too the REAL masters. Then preach about who's the best.

  • I didn't say he was "the best". I quit using that term when I was ten. The proof is in the pudding and a great band doesn't attain that kind of success with a shitty drummer. Hellooooo??????

  • @ mamalied... Never said he was shitty, just not as great as the rest of the band. His place in history is secure but would he have gotten there without the rest of the band? Probably not. Look at Metallica, James Hettfield said it himself.."Lars is not that good of a drummer, but when the four of us got together it was magic". Sometimes who you are around will pull out the best in you that is unreachable otherwise. And I am a Beatles fan as well. Have a great day! No offence intended bro.

  • @BLS1313666

this isnt a fuckin bring your own forum!! its a page showing the last resting place of one of the most influential drummers of the last 30 years.. you got issues? take them elsewhere

  • @ elgormo...Do I give a rats ass about your oppinion? Hell no! So basicaly, Fuck off! I was DEFENDING the great drummers, not ripping them. Just because I did not put Bonhams name on the list is not a sign that I dont respect his playing. (although he was nowhere near as good a technicall drummer as the ones I did list) He was great at being Bohnam. Just pointing out the facts about the Beatles. You, on the other hand, are the ASSHOLE with issues. Get over yourself and grow the fuck up!

  • @BLS1313666 Find a reputable Beatle discographer: I suggest Tim Riley's "Tell Me Why" and get the facts: Ringo played all the great tracks, and his style is as obvious as any great and distinct drummer. His fills are as musically gifted as anyones. And you are right: he can't do what Buddy Rich did, but that's beside the point which is that his work with the Beatles sounds "inevitable", i.e. it had to be him; no one else would have played a Day in the Life like that, NO ONE!

  • @Luke77313 As a drummer, I realize the very unique talents of Ringo and what he brought to the Beatles. I am going to see him and his All Star band tonight at the winery outside of Seattle. He was my biggest drumming influence and man, am I grateful for that! It's probably the thing that has kept me working for the past 30 years! He is the man.

  • the unique part was the shabby playing... Lennon even said that he was the worse drummer out of the Beatles lol

  • You've obviously been smoking crack! Help is available is you want it...

  • @SteveTheJazzMan Lennon could be a real idiot sometimes too... I mean, look at Yoko.

  • @marcelbonzo1971 Search for a video called ELVIS DRUMMER 76.It is the greatest drum solo I've ever heard.

  • @cool57kid , Exactly! Ringo was a great drummer, especially on the early days of The Beatles, and latter days.

  • @cool57kid Ringo couldn't hold a candle to John Bonham.

  • vitek fucking sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Try neil purt drum solo buddy!

  • That's a cool thought, Bonzo jamming with Jesus! Maybe even a supergroup, with Bonzo, Jimi Hendrix on guitar, John Entwhistle on bass, Bon Scott on vocals. What would Jesus be playing though? Maybe keyboards or also on guitar?

I think all the people you (could) come up with are just clones off these people (probably faster but far less original!)
