I ran Boston in 2001 and I was amazed to find out it was true that you could hear the screams a mile before you got to weellesley, it was amazing and it made Boston completely amazing. Thanks for uploading the video, brought back so many memories. It was as If I were there again.
This video does what no news crew could ever do. It puts you right in the middle of the action. I've never run a marathon, but the excitement here comes right through the screen. Even the shakiness of the camera adds to the sense of being there. How many of us would love to take a little break from our work week to experience a little of this? Awesome video.
Thanks for posting this video csinouye! I ran Boston this year and next to the Drop Kick Murphy's "Shippin of to Boston" blairing as I ran through Framingham, the scream tunnel was my greatest memory of the marathon. It comes at a time when you can really use the boost of energy. The girls of Wellesley Collage are like no others and did a great job of supporting the runners and pumping them up. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for letting me relive the experience.
I ran Boston this year in 3h00min02sec. I didn't break the 3h mark because I kissed 2 girls in Wellesley!!! But no regrets, this is by far the most energy filling part of the run. You girls are totaly amazing!
