i dont think you understand this but volcanoes underwater and such has produced more c02 in a day than we have in our entire life of being (the human race) eg millions of years)
Black carbon is a greenhouse particle that is 680 times as heat-trapping as CO2, and it causes the ice sheets and glaciers around the world to melt even faster. Up to 40% of black carbon emissions come from burning forests for livestock. #SMCH
Livestock is the primary human-caused emitter of methane, and methane not only has 72 times the heat-trapping ability, it is a shorter-lived gas. This means that it will leave the atmosphere much faster than CO2, within just a decade as opposed to thousands of years for CO2. Therefore, eliminating methane by eliminating livestock breeding is the fastest way to cool the planet. #SMCH
Stop blaming the CO2 for every problem of global warming on our planet. We are to be blamed. The meat industry is to be blamed. The meat industry is the one we have to focus on to stop, to abolish. #SMCH
Blame corrupt oil companies like Obama's little pals at BP, they hide their dirty oily deeds with little to no media coverage, and I'm not talking the Gulf Spill, coverage of that dirty-deed was unavoidable because it was so close to shore, but do you have any idea how many deep-water spills BP and other oceanic strip miners have caused?
1000's of spills 'little people,' like you and I will never be privy to because Obama mandated non-disclosures agreements that aide Big Oil to hide spill-data!!
global what? was a good vid. till ya through that in. global pollution is real. stupid carbon tax people,.. jeeze I'm looking for vids to post, not B.S.
@SPAGHETTIMONSTER1 first they said ocean consumes one third worlds carbon then they said if too much carbon sea be acidic. That is contradictory. Surely whatever is consuming the carbon only takes what it wants and needs or they would take more than a third in the first place if it were needed.
@tranquilocito i was referring to what was already spoken of in the vid, so pick from the vid what they said about ocean consuming carbon one third of worlds carbon, then they said that if too much carbon absorbed that the sea would be acidic. I dont know what element in the sea absorbs carbon, but if it needs it it will absorb it, if it does not need it, it will NOT absorb it. Therefore the sea wont be acidic , may be wrong but listening to vid thats what i deduce
@toiwin Dude, the CO2 is dissolved in the surface layers and only then consumed by marine microorganisms. The microorganisms -- and other ocean life -- are going to be getting more CO2 whether they like it or not (most will not but some -- like jellyfish and the oh-so-delicious salps -- will). Google wiki ocean carbon dioxide.
You'd have more to worry about than just global warming if all of the algae and cyanobacteria in the ocean die off. Have fun trying to breathe with no oxygen in the air.
Yup. The end-Permian mass extinction is now thought by many to be caused by bacteria in anoxic oceans producing lethal levels of hydrogen sulfide. The sky would have been green with it. It is possible that this was brought on by massive volcanic activity at the Siberian Traps, which released enough CO2 into the atmosphere to raise temperatures and render the seas too acidic to be habitable by oxygen-dependent organisms.
I agree, we should as human being try not to destroy our planet. I'm all for Green Technology, echo friendly or what ever you want to call it. But to say that they ocean doesn't produce enough oxygen, baloney. Our ocean is the largest producer of CO2 and Oxygen at the same time. 90 percent of our oxygen comes from the Ocean. This is just another Global Warming Scam. Little evidence, pointing towards CO2, when the Ocean is the largest producer lol.
Sadly it will have to get really bad before humans decide we finally have to do something about it. Already many cities are experiencing low oxygen levels, because the sea cannot provide enough oxygen. So oxygen stations are showing up - even in Tokyo. If this continues many people will as a daily routine will have to visit an oxygen station several times per day just to stay alive. Soon just existing will become a burden.
can't u just hear the sociopathic leaders of our society talking at Copenhagen about economics & not about healing the planet by reforesting land to capture acidifying carbon before it slips into the seas & stopping inseine fishing, particularly that which scrapes the sea bottom that is thee base of thee habitat for fish?

@ReconCrusader exactly. And the earth has been taking care of itself for billions of years.
I'm convinced, there isn't anything man can do that the earth won't counter act as it needs to.

the ocean temperature is the main driver for how much co2 is in the water not the concentration of co2 in the atmosphere.

The planet doesn't need saving, humans do. We are all leaving soon. The Earth takes care of herself. We are being put on the "must extinct" list.

@tranquilocito how about the methane as well released from the frozen tundra of Siberia, that stuff is just as bad

@tranquilocito Amen! Bravo!
I've fought the unnecessary breeding of animals for meat since 1980.
Keep up the good fight!
