@fguka Hi there. This song was on James Taylor's first album, recorded in London at Apple Studios in 1968. The story goes that George Harrison heard James' song and it inspired him to write 'Something' and even use the line, 'something in the way she moves'. Out of interest, James Taylor was the first artist that the Beatles signed to the Apple Label. He remains friends with McCartney to this day, and they have guested on each others albums over the years.
@Vegasbabee - totally! I only discovered JT recently (and I am not exactly young at 41!) I feel so cr*p that I hadn't listened to him before now...always been a big Carole King fan and happened to watch a Troubadour gig on the telly recently with both of them performing - amazing!!!
Always hypnotised by innocent purity of his voice, hard to say which is better. The voice or how he tunes that Olson guitar! I rather not choose and just enjoy...
His guitar playing on this is brilliant. We often forget how good a guitarist he is, only talking about the voice and song writing ability, but he can certainly play a mean tune and that ol' geetar.
I listen and am amazed at just how much music one man can generate.....ONE MAN!! Six strings!! PURE GENIUS!!! Close your eyes.....listen.....wow!!!!!!
@jakeflip More my dads scene. Good but not really to my liking. If only the plastic popsters of today had the skills and longevity of these true stars.
Oh God...this is what it's all about. Creativity, your name is James Taylor. Amazing how he does it right. He changes it up & can make it sound different, every time. It's all in the pickin'. Why it's finger lickin pickin good!
@Vegasbabee. He is the only guy singing with an acoustic guitar and nothing else for all songs. The rest of them, I want to do a John Belushi in "Animal House" after about two songs on acoustic. Lot of them are great ones but they don't seem to know who to put together lyrics and guitar like James does with the exception of Paul McCartney.
yes...brilliant...what else to say

How can a man I've never met, sing a song from before I was born, describe how I feel about my girlfriend? Is this some kind of crazy magic?

I wouldn't give my right arm for that Olson. As a guitarist that would be self defeating, but I'd give quite a lot.

Taylor and King. Two of the best songwriters of the last 50 years. Genius doesn't get much better than this.
Beautiful song. Beautiful calm feeling. The lyrics are perfect for how I feel about my lady love.
