I totally agree with Hammett. He still did the right thing by apologizing at the end to show class but to get suspended for that BS is total crap. I mean I can think for instance of a school like Nebraska, they are often nicknamed the "Children of the corn" Thats a bit of a stereotype but nobody ever gets offended by that, and they shouldnt either

Would THAT have been a racist remark since Columbia is known for having great cigars? It is well known that Mexicans love Mexican food...who cares? I'm Hispanic and I thought Bob Griese's comment was quite funny. The joke didn't make sense, cause Montoya is Colombian and tacos are a Mexican dish, but still it was pretty funny. The real issue is people automatically group all Hispanics into one group and assume we're all Mexican, with brown skin and dark eyes. Quite the contrary, Hispanics can be white, black, brown, and even Asian. The issue is a lack of education on most people's parts to recognize that.
