  • bonito bonito!

  • Fantastic, love to play the partita's and Inventions, you play excellently.

  • your playing of the rallentando is very good, particularly the spacing in front of your last note

  • you play very well! thx

  • great!

  • Beautiful, elegant performance, with superb control of phrasing.

    Please do post more!

  • A good perfomance, especially in bringing out the individual voices and the cadences. Also, I had to analyze this piece this weekend, and I listened to this version to help me do it. Thanks!

  • @jmannatyork

Really? I'm analysing it now. Anything you can point out to help me?

  • @colourfulwithaU Boy, that was a couple of years ago, and if I still have my analysis, it's in a box somewhere. I don't remember anything in particular, just watch out for the usual Bach stuff. I just liked how Cristiano here balanced the voices and allowed the tempo to wax and wane appropriately at cadence points.

  • @jmannatyork

"the usual Bach stuff" doesn't help me. I am very new to this analysis stuff. So far, I have noted the fact that almost the entire piece can be explained as different fragments of two motifs. But aside from that, I'm pretty lost.

  • @colourfulwithaU Bach is known for making a lot out of a little, so you're probably right about almost everything coming from two motifs. With these short pieces, generally everything is a fragment, inversion, retrograde, sequence, etc. of the primary themes (usually just two--a primary and a secondary--but sometimes he uses more). But as I said, without digging in some boxes or reanalyzing the piece, I just don't know of anything else to say. And I won't do your homework for you. :) Good luck!

  • OH MY GOD.....

That's really great. You play great and fantastic, but you also have an amazing instrument.

Go on posting videos of that music!!!

  • GOOD INSTRUMENT!! Excellent sound!!

  • jackddemon

As you can see in own Bach's manuscript, there is no tempo indication, the player perfomance according to his own feelings about the piece.

  • one question, what is the tempo marking on this movement?

  • i have no idea! lol but it seems to be some sort of ii sort of thing

  • >>some sort of ii sort of thing

    i didn't understand that

  • tre bon!
