Just a year or so ago a young man with a virulent form of TB was promptly arrested and quarantined when authorities got involved.

Sorry bbmtge, but federal and state laws do stipulate that you CAN be held at a hospital against your will if you are suspected of harboring a contagious disease like TB or anthrax. I don't know about Olberman's case, but there is no doubt that you can be held. This has always been the case, as in the days when sanitoriums for TB and polio patients were set up. Just a year or so ago a young man with a virulent form of TB was promptly arrested and quarantined when authorities got involved.
