Without him, the Riddler wouldn't ever be the same.

He's what made the 1960's Batman series so fascinating to me. I wanted to be him when I watched the movie as a little tyke.

Yes, Catwoman was awesomely played by Julie Newmar ( I wasn't too big on Lee Meriwether. Eartha Kitt was o.k. Newmar was also Super HOT.) But Frank Gorshin had the evil personality and sinister laugh. And it was his portrayal that made the Riddler more of a major Batman villain. Before Gorshin, the Riddler only appeared in 2 issues of the comics.
