  • nice video jimmy! hey on what album is that introduction track by a. newcombe and black angels? dope stuff. cheers, ch.

  • @Chris4127basket Thanks for the kind comment, I do not think it is on any album, I found it on You Tube. The link of the video is on my channel, listed under 'favorites". I only have four of them, so it would be easy to find ;)

All the best from the Jersey Shore.

  • Excellent vid man - I just got If Your Feeling Sinister - amazing record. And that N Young set...swoon...nice scores as always.

  • @glowing00cabbage Well, hats off to you guys, I never would have found them on my own. Just starting a collection and it is starting to look like something, lots of genres, I can now pick for any mood! Just getttng into B&S, You Tube just does not give the sound these records deserve, a whole new experience listening to them on my turntable. You're going strong, keep em coming!

  • Very good video. Thanx

  • @SublimMedia Greetings from the Jersey Shore! I was checking out your videos, and I was digging them the most, enjoyed you commentary too! Keep up the good work. Thanks for watching.

  • You are in a better position to rate the album, I am only going off a memory of what the record sounded like, today's listen was under much better conditions, lots of variables. I'm just trying to get back some of the great albums I once had, seems like these "new" companies are doing a pretty good job with their quality control though.

Now I'd be curious to hear how YOU find it comparing it to the copies you already own,. I felt like a bona fide collector scooping up the box set. :) Stay Well

  • "Ah Um"... NICE.. a classic that EVERYONE should have in their collection.. SERIOUSLY!! That piece brings back many great memories for me, when I first started getting into Jazz. The Neil box is still on my list.. I originally bought all the 140G single versions which as well sound amazing.. And is the only reason I haven't bought the box(YET) .. But most likely will since I hear the 180G box versions are on another level. Oh yeah I forgot to thank U for the Smiths/Strangeways reissue review! :)

  • @fatbackfunk Same here with the good memories. This is from "Music on VInyl", 180 gram pressing; it was mixed from the original three-track tapes on an original Presto tube tape recorder. The separation is fantastic, quiet, no hum or hiss. The Neil Young records are intense, so lifelike and immediate. I have another Smiths record on order, These re-issues are amazing. I'm loving the music all over again.

  • @EarlofSuave308 Thanks for the info on the Mingus.. I've been curious about all the different "Ah Um" reissue pressings.. I still have an original(slightly later pressing) & a really nice sounding CD version.. But perhaps I'll give that Music On Vinyl pressing a try based off of what you're telling me about it.. And did you say you bought that online as well? And yeah there's a local shop here that has the Neil box.. I think it may be time... :) Thanks again for the great videos!!

  • I love the Princeton memories... and I LOVE that you bought the Neil Young CD for me! Thanks for all that you do ; ) ~ j.

  • @Jimiz1Girl Everytime I go into Princeton, I can't help thinking that someone, somewhere close, is devising something that has the potential to erase all humans from the face of the Earth. I knew you would enjoy the images and the CD!

  • Great video and some great pick-ups! Those early Belle and Sebastian records are awesome!

  • @stephan73 You would know! I will be getting into these big time. Thanks for the great videos.

  • AND awesome LPS you got there! Neil Young boxset is very cool!

  • Thanks for the shout out!

  • @bigstar1000 You're the man! There are so many records to choose from when starting to get a collection going, I might have skipped over the Belle & Sebastian if I did not watch your videos. i feel like I got a couple of essential albums. Thanks....No CD yet, perhaps this week!

  • Yet another great video! Hilarious!

  • @buddybopper Are you laughing with me or at me? hahahaha

  • @EarlofSuave308 With you of course. TURN IT DOWN! hahaha

  • That Neil Young box sets look soo crisp! dang. I really love the photo on the front of the box.. great vid :)

  • @merokodk I just learned about this pressing plant in Germany, it sounds like Neil is in the room with you, Yes, I love looking at all the pictures, that is one of the reasons I prefer vinyl over CD. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Excellent pick ups. those Neil albums are the greatest- keep going: get Time Fades Away, Tonight's the Night (one of is very best), On the Beach- These three are known as the Ditch Trilogy. All Killer records.

  • @MrFartboy79 Yeah, you have been talking about N.Y. and you are right, although we consider those albums to be mainstream classics, so many people have not heard the songs on these albums. On to the Ditch trilogy!
