@PedanticAndWhimsical OK 1st of all take into account my Dad is really old and grew up in a racist environment, 2nd of all to me Racism is only exists because people who receive word like it dislike it, almost any word can be used in an offensive manner, In the same way racism can be used both ways so its just tit for tat anyway to me, The word is Just short for Pakistani however because people do not like it, it is considered offensive

2: Racism exists because people are scared of one another, and of change. As long as there are people, there will be discrimination. It's deplorable and disgusting, but a fact nontheless.

And finally, if your point is true, who is to say which words are offensive and which aren't? Obviously, a word is offensive if someone is offended by it, and the word we discussed is one generally avoided in respectful conversation.

It is a generation thing, obviously, but people should really have enough common sense to realise when somebody is offended by the language they use. I'm fifteen, but it seems to me that even people who were brought up to respect their elders (a courtesy which some members of my generation sadly lack) remain completely indifferent towards racial or homophobic terms.

Indeed Im 18 but theirs a pretty big gap over those few years, that said Im pretty out of sync with my own generation anyway due to things growing up.

To the best of my memory, The poster above me 9thprotocol made a remark calling cyclists or swimmers "gay".

This however this confused me as being a cyclist, swimmer and hetrosexual* I don't conform to this persons stereotype.

I then sought clarification of his theory as I was still unsure how it worked and needed further explanantion.

*I'm pretty sure I'm hetrosexual as I had sex with 3 women and only 1 man last year, so one of those women cancel out the one man, I'm +2 Hetro in 2009, right?
