It's odd that such a huge struggle culminating in a romance and then marriage between the pianist and her lover should be called "The Piano". The talented director ceratinly could have come up with a name that complements the artist. However, the way the artist in this movie is compelled to strip for a desperate man is not in very good taste, though, I have to say. It insults an artist's dignity. This beautiful scene however doesn't give us the bloody and the sexual harassment part of the movie.
00:30-- Ms. Hunter's one moment of supreme and 'perfect' contentment in the entire film- smiling radiantly with her daughter dancing 'round- and the piano itself is ravishing- oddly romantic and melancholy at the same time. Thanks for this.
