Who David and Gillian? NO way, they got along. Watch David's interview on Charlie Rose. He says that are very close professionally, but not personally. And Charlie asked him why, and he said bc they were spending like 14 hours a day together for 7 years..but they definately got along

The episode is a take on Frankenstein and is framed like a comic book story. When it looks like the story will end without a happy ending for the monster created by the Frankenstein doctor, Mulder says, "I wanna speak to the writer" and we cut to this ending. It's a fantasy ending more than a joke per se.
The ending makes me cry every time. And the way Mulder pulls Scully up and dances with her is absolutely fabulous! Post-Modern Promethus is definitely one of the best episodes!

She wanted a scene that would allow her to act more, but in a documentary in the dvd set she said she wished she would have done it. I personally think it's great the way it is because it would have taken away from the campiness and the mulder/scully scene at the end. Gotta love it!!

Aww, love this ending. One of the best. Loved the end of Season 8, them finally declaring their love for each other, then its the end of season 9, them being together no matter what. Then it's 'closure' season 7, as its so sad, he finally learns the truth and can let go. Love the x files, love Gillian Anderson.
This is not the best ending ever. The best ending was in the episode "closure." Thats when Mulder learns the truth about his sister. Brings tears to my eyes every time.

Robert Patrick did a great job as Doggett. It was a difficult position he was put in to replace a character who was so elemental to that chemistry. It was problematic in terms of the story, so it's not fair to blame the actor or the character.

God, God, God. I love this episode and it's ending so much. Words can't even begin to explain how good I feel when I see The Great Mutato raising his hands above his head when the camera focuses on him. Simply beautiful cinematography, writing and directing. This is really awesome episode and great ending. I like the whole idea about the 'monster'. The Postmodern Prometheus is one of my most favourite episodes.

I think the best ending was in The Unnatural, when Mulder teaches Scully how to play baseball. This one is definitely a close second for me. I always watch the ending more than once when I watch this episode.
Great clip! I've got seasons 3-8 on DVD, what an amazing show. On weekends I eat sleep and breath e mulder and scully! It's great to see the progression from friends to best friends to best friends & then finally lovers!
Best ever. Love the song. I heard it's one of David's favorites. When he looks down and holds his hand out to her, I still get chills. This song started playing while I was sitting at the hair salon the other day, and I was quietly singing along, and I noticed another girl doing the same. I looked over at her and smiled, and she said, "...Mulder and Scully?" I just laughed and nodded, and we proceeded to get into a fangirl-y conversation. It was hilarious.
This is one of my all time fave epps from the Xfiles..So very fun and light and Mulder/Scully were relaxed, sexy and having a blast! I lived and breathed the Xfiles for the entire time the show was on. I was a woman possessed/obsessed by Mulder/Scully and this show.. I haven't found a show since then with the exception of Buffy the Vampire slayer that just drew me in and kept me there.. Mulder/Scully were the best and so was the Xfiles. Thanks for the trip!

This is really awesome episode and great ending. I like the whole idea about the 'monster'. The Postmodern Prometheus is one of my most favourite episodes.
Oh and I saw a picture from that scene with kiss, is it some alternative ending? Just curious...

hey i think i know what your talking about..i saw a scene on youtube too( it was definetely from this episode) aand mulder kisses scully on the lips..i was suprised too because it didnt look like a blooper either..

yeah, that's probably what I saw...you're right...it looked like scene from this episode...I heard somewhere, that first they were supposed to kiss, but then, Carter said it would be too much...or something like that...

The ending is one of my fave. moments EVER. I love how Mulder looks away from Scully when he holds out his hand. It's just way too cute! :D I can't wait for July!!

I remember not exactly enjoying Postmodern Prometheus, until this very scene. It's not as good as the ending of The Unnatural, but it's definitely one of my faves. Thanks for sharing!

I think the best ending was in The Unnatural, when Mulder teaches Scully how to play baseball. This one is definitely a close second for me. I always watch the ending more than once when I watch this episode.

Great clip! I've got seasons 3-8 on DVD, what an amazing show. On weekends I eat sleep and breath e mulder and scully! It's great to see the progression from friends to best friends to best friends & then finally lovers!

Best ever. Love the song. I heard it's one of David's favorites. When he looks down and holds his hand out to her, I still get chills. This song started playing while I was sitting at the hair salon the other day, and I was quietly singing along, and I noticed another girl doing the same. I looked over at her and smiled, and she said, "...Mulder and Scully?" I just laughed and nodded, and we proceeded to get into a fangirl-y conversation. It was hilarious.

This is one of my all time fave epps from the Xfiles..So very fun and light and Mulder/Scully were relaxed, sexy and having a blast! I lived and breathed the Xfiles for the entire time the show was on. I was a woman possessed/obsessed by Mulder/Scully and this show.. I haven't found a show since then with the exception of Buffy the Vampire slayer that just drew me in and kept me there.. Mulder/Scully were the best and so was the Xfiles. Thanks for the trip!
