  • У Тома Джонса лучше)))

  • This one is just like in the old days, but its flipside, HARD TO GET A THING CALLED LOVE is very tame!

  • Where i can find the lyrics of this song, please?

    Thanks!

  • What a beautiful song and what a voice!!! Thank you for putting this on!!!! Truely great!

  • True love can only fell this way for my butterfly

  • Gracias!!! desde Argentina, la verdad no conocía la canción pero es muy linda. (thanks, from Argentina, the truth is I didn´t knew the song, but it´s beautiful) (sorry for my english)

  • First time I heard this song, (10 yrs ago) I fell in love with the band for sure....

  • Zola Taylor is soooo fine!!! This song is so magical as well.

  • @vaman77788 Thanks for keeping history correct ...not like these revisionist assholes! Sonny had a nice voice but after Tony left, it was all downhill. Thank god for the recordings.

  • @hillcresthiker You are welcome, hillcrest. I'm glad to see someone else wants truth and accuracy on here. It is not about putting down Sonny, who has a great voice, but more about keeping the truth out there. Can you imagine posting a pic of one of these people (fraewaru, noname) and put another person's name on it? You can believe they would be squawking to get it right! And that's all I did: put out accurate information about who was being shown and who was actually singing.

  • Herb Reed is still performing! I uploaded videos of him live on a cruise ship! LoL Herb is AWESOME!!!!

  • The Greatest Musicans were back in the Days..

  • He peplaced Tony Williams as a leading singer of The Platters during the 1960s. It's amazing! I repeated listening to it many times, thanks again!

  • This is NOT Tony Williams and the ORIGINAL Platters!!!!!!!

  • they still make me cry...wonderful voices...

  • the guy sing a lot

  • Sweet Zola. Frankie Lyman never deserved THAT!

  • I love this song from decades ago, dont know who sings it, but that is one fine voice with great interpretation.

I cant find the lyrics. I cant find this song listed in any Platters discography. I cant find this song under any title which might be appropriate for the lyrics. I cannot connect the lyrics with Cornell Gunther, Tony Williams, Sonny Turner, Elmer Hopper, Brooks Benton, or any remotely possible singer.

I am not learned on these matters, I want to know more about it.

  • its on the new double album , there greatest hits

  • These are not the original Platters, but, I believe, a group that Z. got together.

  • Well if you care so much and know so much - YOU POST IT!

  • Well, I can assure you that if I did post it would be accurate. The legacy of the Platters has been denigrated by people who post songs and pics that don't go together. The end result: the new generation hears this junk and thinks, "Why were they considered great?" So ends the continuation of a truly great group constantly exploited for the sake of the dollar. I'd like to see YOUR reaction if they posted a pic of someone else with your name on it. And yeah I do care and know more that you!

  • I agree that you most probably know more about the Platters than me, I certainly don't know much except about 20-30 songs I love. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see more postings and I did come off wrong, because I was annoyed by a long lasting argument. So, if you do have more stuff - do post and feel free to send a few links, so I can look at more stuff. Thank you. What I meant is, there are people who like this even with the mistakes, as long as they can hear more from this great group.

  • Can anyone tell me what Album this song is on?

  • are u sure this song is called why, beucase i tried to look up the lyrics and it gave me a song by the platters ca;ed why but the lyrics were wrong and this was on yahoo

  • it's kinda patheic when people have to bicker over pictures and dates...it takes away from the fact that this is a beautiful song from a beautiful era..it's a shame the world can't be this simple anymore...thank you for this video.

  • i so agree

  • well said Love (Y)

  • @LadyFinesse73 Unfortunately no one can make The Platters sound great like Tony Williams did. Tony's voice is truly the trademark Platters sound. Any of the You Tube Platters songs, with black and white photos and millions of views, have Tony Williams singing lead.

  • love this track shame we all cant be perfect and shame on you for not putting correct information on posting L.O.L

  • Well, this is a good song, yes from the second platters maybe from 1966-1971 when they have hits with the lead of sonny turner, but this song doesn't appear in any recopilation so its a good choice

  • nice song

  • thank you friend !, for the video, i like of the platters

    regards
