Yeah, cue buttons were lit, but the sound only comes out of the laptop sound card and not the built in VMS 4 American Audio. There were problems from the start. Mapping is really bad and I am not an programer, I am just a DJ. Why doesn't American audio just come out with a product that works with major programs? Most people need cues and a crossfader so why did they skip those parts? Do you have some type of map to make the cue volume work from the VMS4 sound card?
@JeremyjsmSWVA Are u getting the customized skin for the VMS4 from style flip? That's sick how u can design ur own skins...cheap too! How long has the VMS4 been released for? Have they just been released or something? I've only been checking out midi systems for a week lol so i'm REALLY new to all this:D I was only looking out to buy a numark mixtrack for $110 but ended up adding about another $100 to upgrade to the i-mix reload:D I think this is suitible for me cause i'm just learning still:D
@tranjohn its been out for about 2 or 3 weeks... and yes i did order a skin and actualy just got it in the mail today... so ill probably shoot a vid and post my creation
@JeremyjsmSWVA What da hell u haven't even had it for that long and the paints coming off already? How about ur new skin? Does the marking on the cross fader and stuff still come off easy on the new skins??? Or it's better than the original???
@tranjohn yeah the silk screen process they used wasnt all that great but the new skin is perfect and has a nice coating on it so that will never happin
@JeremyjsmSWVA Cool i just designed one with astro boy on it:) Gonna order it once my VMS4 gets here. Are they hard to but on? Does it go on top of the old one or u take the old top off? How long they take to arrive once u order them?
@JeremyjsmSWVA I have a vms4 american audio, are you able to use both the headphones and main outputs on it? My headphones do not work using virtual DJ, what program do you use? I'm investigating if Serato might be mapped out better.
@SaxManDanDotCom well it only has one headphone output but in order to hear anything (just making sure you know) have have to push the little square button right above the channel u want to listen too soooo if its not lit up then your not gonna hear anything... hopefully that helps if nt let me know

The other guy is cheaper that is the reality , that is why they let u go. In this business, have to be really bad to be let go.

Nothing wrong with the slower nights as I find them less stressful. At least now your weekends are open to pursue other gigs.
I would contact the manufacturer about the silk screen issue on your VMS4 as they will probably repair or replace the unit once a solution is found.
