@SupraCelica98 I've heard that carburating boosted air is tricky.I would think that a draw through carb set up would be easier and more reliable than a pressurized carb set up.You just need a carb for a bigger engine, since from the carb's perspective, it feels like it is simply fueling a V6 or a V8, instead of a 1.XX Liter four cylinder. Plus, the heat from the turbo housing and all of the turbulence from the compressor will probably contribute to better atomization of the air/fuel mixture.
@eriko5791 i played around with draw through set ups over the years 70s engineering it works and its cheap.you dont need high presser pumps just a turbo fitted with a positive seal .as you say big carbi with big float bowls holley is ideal . i used a single 48mm side draft at one stage fitted huge main main jets and secondary fuel delivery as boost increased
as float bowl would run dry even with holley blue pump since you can not intercool. i water alcohol injected it into the plenum MSD BTM
@450hp202turbo THE HEAT. that is the down fall , on a set up like this the heat might not be a issue with long primary pipes to the turbo .now days you have ceramic coating that help retain heat in the turbo were in makes more boost:)
A carberator relies on vacuum to draw the fuel into the venturi. If you fed it pressurised air, it would resemble a garden sprinkler. Unless, you encapsulate it in a pressurized box.

What Cam & rockers are you running there?? I have just built a 2387 with Engle TCS-30 & 1.4 rockers, ran it in without turbo and just straight pipes.. pretty blue flames a plenty from pipes, just finishing off the manifolds now, going into off-road race car.. after watching a few of these vids I can't wait!!! damn have you ran it yet if so how did it do i have a cousin thats gonna add turbo to one of his VW'S i think hes gonna put it on his drag bug that he went somewhere like south dekota and bought a kit for that makes it look like the old time pannel delivery vehicles not to be confused with the pannel vw vans anyhow let me know how you like the turbo and if it was worth adding of did it create problems hes putting it on a 2100 stroker

What Cam & rockers are you running there?? I have just built a 2387 with Engle TCS-30 & 1.4 rockers, ran it in without turbo and just straight pipes.. pretty blue flames a plenty from pipes, just finishing off the manifolds now, going into off-road race car.. after watching a few of these vids I can't wait!!! I will be puttin up a vid when finished. Keep up the good work!

I usually HATE the sound of bugs, but I LOVE the sound of this one! This car makes me wanna build one. Just out of curiosity, why did you go with a draw-through setup instead of a blow-through setup for the turbo? And how streetable is the tune on the engine? Do you street drive the 9 second tune?

Draw makes more power. I do not change the tune for street driving. Just turn the boost down and run 91 oct. Very street able, see my other videos.
