folks saying "a person couldn't control the dog" probably have never trained a dog- at least not to any serious degree. i have Bandogges, trained them myself (training is a serious hobby for me) and work with 3-5 simultaneously. never had any control issues, due to good TRAINING, and effective PROOFING.

It wasn't easy, but my Presa's will not leave my yard. I don't care if there's 10 dogs walking passed my house. They come to me, on first command. They ALSO live in my house with 2 cats! But, God help the fool whom enters my home, uninvited. That would get ugly lol. Time, and LOTS of training is the trick. JMO tho
The differences in Presas Canarios and Bull and/or English Mastiffs are vast and many. If someone is trying to sale you one or the other and you have suspicion, first, LEAVE, DON'T BUY FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T TRUST! Second, not everyone is a vet but, you can take a quick look at the gums, paws, and ears of either breed and have your questions (suspicions) answered immediately. Third, take pictures with you to the breeder from dog shows where the best traits of each breed are present & obvious.

I own a presa canario and she is the most obedient non aggressive dog that i have ever dealt with. If you don't have experience with dogs i would not suggest you criticize certain breeds because any dog can be aggressive. Presas are bigger so they recieve more scrutiny.
At 0:43 it looks like the guy in the bite suit calls off the dog, you NEVER have the guy in the bite suit issue commands to the dog and you NEVER make training time play time unless that's all you ever want him to think of it. You should also ideally have someone who has minimal to no contact with him be in the suit.
I also hope you had someone suit up and threaten him, if he wants to bite he is gold, if he want's to cower train him for another purpose, it's how cops test them ;)

As such, more aggressive and less human friendly breeds have been bred into the presa making them less compatible for family life. True american pitbulls are very gentle with people due to selective breeding, but devils with other dogs, impure breeding has made them more susceptible to aggression problems

It wasn't easy, but my Presa's will not leave my yard. I don't care if there's 10 dogs walking passed my house. They come to me, on first command. They ALSO live in my house with 2 cats! But, God help the fool whom enters my home, uninvited. That would get ugly lol. Time, and LOTS of training is the trick. JMO tho

The differences in Presas Canarios and Bull and/or English Mastiffs are vast and many. If someone is trying to sale you one or the other and you have suspicion, first, LEAVE, DON'T BUY FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T TRUST! Second, not everyone is a vet but, you can take a quick look at the gums, paws, and ears of either breed and have your questions (suspicions) answered immediately. Third, take pictures with you to the breeder from dog shows where the best traits of each breed are present & obvious.

At 0:43 it looks like the guy in the bite suit calls off the dog, you NEVER have the guy in the bite suit issue commands to the dog and you NEVER make training time play time unless that's all you ever want him to think of it. You should also ideally have someone who has minimal to no contact with him be in the suit.
I also hope you had someone suit up and threaten him, if he wants to bite he is gold, if he want's to cower train him for another purpose, it's how cops test them ;)

Ill agree that a bad owner can make a bad dog. But an animal is an animal. Speak all you want about how well you trained it, it can still be the animal it is.

I don't know, some animals it just isn't how you raise them Presas don't have a bad rep because of idiot owners like inner city thugs with Pit Bulls. They have a bad rep because of all the incidents where for no reason they attacked or killed people. You can probably raise a Tiger and even make it perform at Vegas, but is it a really good idea? Couldn't you wind up getting hurt.......

Gr8 dogs...in my opinion, I feel the cane corso is the better dog, but I still love presas.

These dog are from The Canary Islands in Spain(in the middle of The Atlantic Ocean and in the west of Africa, to far from Spain)The islands are the paradise, like Hawia but better. The dogs are fron these islands and it the best dog in the world, not like pit bull , bull terrier,.... It,s the most frienly dog with the kids and the best for look after the house and you too. I recommend having a DOGO PRESA Canario and visit the islands.

@pablitoyea Not really, modern presas are a recreation using the surviving cattle dogs. As such, more aggressive and less human friendly breeds have been bred into the presa making them less compatible for family life. True american pitbulls are very gentle with people due to selective breeding, but devils with other dogs, impure breeding has made them more susceptible to aggression problems
