@nomania But do you know what TRUE Iranian identity is? Our culture originates way BEFORE Islam was imposed on Iran by the INVADING Arabs. Persian culture is indigenous and separate from an Arab religion.
Arabs & Islam are just as much a foreign occupying force in Iran as any of the "western elite" that you mention. Remember that. Iran has to battle the Arab Muslims in the Middle East just as much as the Turks, British, Russians, etc.
