I would love to work for Marvel one day. Da best ka, kuya gerry. Been compiling my own artworks. My HS buddy n' me are writing a story for our own comics, doing all the artworks as well..
You have like inking tutorials or any sort of tutorial vids? Thanks and more power to you..
@981407036x Did you send me an email? :) Anyway, my friend Edgar Tadeo, who is also an inker for Marvel Comics, does regular inking tutorials. You can see his videos here on You Tube under the name "nyekvideos"
kabayan baka naman nagti-train kayo for this sort of job (for a professional fee syempre) kasi nag-animation ako pero parang masgusto ko ganito at di ako napo-promote dahil ang manner ng illustrations ko ay parang sa tulad ng mga ito (lalo na sa anatomy mahilig ako como weightlifter din mismo) o kaya mapayuhan mo ako kung paano maging tulad mo. searious po.
GO GERRY!!!! wow! i'm am so glad to hear you and lienil are doing stuff together again! your inks are just perfect with his pencils! more power to the both of you! :-)
Wow, that was a heartfelt, very sentimental blog. The passion for it is definitely in your voice.
I originally want to be a penciller in comics, maybe even a writer, but I never pursued it. And of course the business has advanced so much since then.
Congrats man, back with Marvel! Man, I am so jealous, working for Marvel is like a dream job, you are so lucky! Bro, pag may opening sa Marvel, ipa-ubaya mo naman sakin, kahit ano, kahit taga-kuha lang ng coffee ni Stan Lee ayos na :)
I'll take it! :) I'll be the oldest intern in the history of Marvel comics! I can see it now, I'll be walking into the intern meeting, and everybody will stand up,and I'll be like "No, no, sit down guys, I'm an intern just like you!" :D
@ evancortez2; stan lee sold marvel a long time ago (it got bankrupt when he was still the owner, i know it's hard to believe that that it would considering how much money stan's making ...then again he does not own or work for marvel anymore...
I don't think Stan ever really owned Marvel. He was the editor in chief and later, became kind of like a public relations officer. He became so popular that he became synonymous with Marvel comics. Every single Marvel comic book for decades had "Stan Lee Presents" on every splash page even when he was no longer working for them.
oh hehe i got the wrong info...a friend told me those things we were drunk that time and saw a trailer of iron man and comic book thoughts came in hehe...by the way kuya which characters do you like , from DC or MARVEL? me im picking MARVEL, their characters are more eccentric
I know I'll probably get burned at the stake for heresy for saying this, but as a kid I was always more of a DC guy. The Marvel storylines for me as an 8-9-10 year old boy, was just too grownup and kinda hard to understand. DC storylines though were less complicated, just good guys vs. bad guys without the burden of the intricacies of interpersonal human relationships between the characters.
That's interesting info, Gerry. I think even when I was a kid I had thought Stan Lee owned Marvel, just because his name was so synonimous with the company and it's characters, particularly Spiderman.

I m just curious, but have you thought about making inking tutorial videos?
I mean it would mean the world to me (and many fellow youtubers) if you did.
(or you could publish an instructional kind of book)
I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
