Actually Electro ball is stronger provided that your pikachu SUPER fast, which can cause up to 150 damage if your way faster than the oppnent, while volt tackle you'll take damage after use.... So I guess its up to what you like better really... XD

I think I understand how a high leveled Pikachu lost to a low leveled pokemon. Got a Mewtwo lvl 70 almost losing to pokemon in the late teen's and mid twenties in black and white. He's mostly failing cause he won't listen to me lolz cause I had two 1 badge at the time I got it now I got four xD.

@asile456 yep, i only liked volt tackle cause pikachu and its evolution line are the only ones who can learn volt tackle and does quite a lot of damage, plus electro ball does more damage if the user has great speed and it has no recoil damage, so i think tht electro ball is a good replacement for volt tackle, but i still miss volt tackle

@MegaKazz5005 Electro Ball can max out higher than Volt Tackle's base power (VT=120, EB=150 at max). Plus, pikachus don't have the highest of hps, so the recoil of VT was doing a good chunk of damage back at Pikachu as well as to the opponent. So, EB is not only safer but it can be more powerful than VT. Also, he now has two special electric attacks and two physical attacks. So, Pikachu's moveset works in balance with his high sp. attack, attack, and speed stats and his STAB.

@lilpacodataco Well actually Elctro Ball and Zap Cannon are different. Zap Cannon was like in Gen II Gold and Silver, it had 50% accuracy but always paralyzed if hit, but Electro Ball is a new move in Black and White which the series is based off. Electro Ball's power is based on how fast the user is compared to it's opponent for some reason.
