i've always done the 4 step approach i don't think i could get used to this unless i changed my leading foot and i also throw a "2 handed" ball so that would throw me off as well
not if u r chris barnes though. this past sunday during the motel 6 rolls to riches, the ball got stuck on his thumb and he walked out ten feet past the foul line. he didn't slip, not even on the second attempt. too good
ya haha i saw that i was like wtf. thats all apart of how tight he keeps his thumbholes that every once in a while it gets stuck but not like that...usually.
im surprised it doesn't happen more often. not to criticize barnes because he's one of the best players on tour right now, but as long as the span and pitch of the thumbhole is correct, there really isn't a need to load up the thumbhole with that much tape. i think he should use less. at least he wouldn't have to worry about walking out past the arrows anymore
well he has it that tight just for his release. the more relaxed his hand can be the better his shot is as far as the revs and how clean it is. my release is similar but i can't stand the thumbhole to be so tight.
idk ..came from a Brunswick promo video.

he's got a very short span- 4-1/8 region.. for a guy 6ft 2''..
i trid his ball once and its exactly like mine. i suspect it's a mo pinel inspired type grip. mine is
