whats with these morons and oh good manual tranny, hey meathead get with the modern age. ALmost all high end sports cars are auto's, wake up you clueless duck. No human can shift as fast as an auto sports car. There are plenty of dumb asses on here with manuals doing 1/4 mile runs in new corvettes in 14 sec, what a joke, my grand sport with header, corsa exhaust, CAI, custom tune pulls 1/4 mile in 11.7 sec launching at 1000 rpm.... you dumb red necks need to shut your face, ah dat got a hemi?

@hotbo757 Well i'm not a redneck and what you just said isnt entirely true. A skilled driver can shift faster than an auto, all autos except supercar sequential "autos," that is. Plus, you're kinda a loser if you buy an automatic car like a corvette which only has a normal true automatic. Just watch this video and see for yourself. @hotbo757 Manual has alot of advantages you tool. For one you can hold the gears longer, it gives you more control of the car, It doesnt rob HP like an auto does, and if you know how to shift and lauch with it the other guy having an auto wouldnt phase you!

Great run, there is at least 1/4 second of rev limiter in the run, could be that much faster if you could shift a little quicker.

you betcha Auto's are just as fast if not faster in some cases launch control in my opinion holds the car back from its full power, i have an LS3 auto with dual mode exaust love it!

Auto trans are just as fast, they just dont feel as fast until you really put your foot in it. I drive an auto 1999 Vette.

@3yar1983 I think that if it wasn't for launch control, the autos were starting to become faster consistently then the manuals (stick.) auto's are pretty advanced today and it's not as easy to ALWAYS get a perfect shift.

@10126fender Yes you can. You can get the Hydra-Matic 6L80 with the base and base convertible. Any higher, and yeah, you can only get the manual Tremec TR6060.
