At lease he can say that he has a BMW and a junk Honda rich or por I just bought I 1990 Honda accord with 303.000 miles just to play with I am not rich or por and drive 2003 ford explores and a 2006 mustang GT don't hate
That's pretty impressive, 400,000 miles. I have the exact same car but its only got 234,000 miles. My parents bought it in 1990 and I got it when I was 17. All original and it still runs like a champ!
Most Honda vehicles that are more than 6-8 years old have rust--no matter what part of the country. The older ones had great engines, so-so transmissions, and overall solid mechanical parts but the sheet metal is thin and just outright garbage. Decent cars but always been overpriced new or used.
Sorry, my Accord is a 2003 v6 at 194,000 miles! I had to rebuild the transmission at 165,000 miles, which was a bit disappointing, I learned recently that the 2003 accords were known to have automatic transmission issues, was worth the $1800 investment. Other then that, its extremely reliable, I have allot of confidence that its going to make it to 300,000 miles easy, just runs so good, gotta be the best built cars on the road....
My 2002 accord v6 is at 194,000 miles! Still running my 1990 Accord. paid a grand for it seven yrs ago and really got my moneys worth. Still runs GREAT!, never stalls, always starts even on the coldest mornings. Too bad it's getting really rusty around the wheelwells cos I am sure the engine and tranny will last another six years or so. Would rather drive a great old car the something thats look modern but is nothing but plastic.
i love the 4th generation honda accords. the interior is really nice. they look nicer than some of the new cars i think. and the engine and transmission lasts for a long time even if you don't take care of it.
reliable car congrats man i think newer cars wouldt do that this was the time where the cars were good and long lasting ive seen a mazda 626 2.2i 115hp doing over 660000km with first engine and tranny........was a 88' these cars were good.
CONGRATULATIONS, dude! my 96 should flip to 400,000 in about 5 months (i've got 388,000 on it now), but i won't get to see 400,000 - at 195,000 the original odometer started slipping (i'd drive 20 miles and it would only register 3) so i replaced it after a few months of that. thanks for posting YOURS changing to 400,000 so i can imagine that's what i woulda seen.
Awesome! My 1990 Accord is at 273k on the original engine & transmission. Most reliable car I've ever owned. So much so that I started taking it to autocross events and it does really well. See videos
imagine right before it gets to 400000 miles it breaks down. thtd be a hilarious video. (not saying i hope your car breaks down, i hope ur car gets many more miles)
lol "Motor" and other "MINOR" parts xD hahah, this isn't a 400,000 mile car to me. Show me a car with a 400,000 mile MOTOR then I'll be impressed.
