The reason these worked was kids were familiar with the actors on "One to Grow On" because they watched their shows(A-Team, Cosby, Facts of Life, etc.). They'd do the same setup if they did it now, but what what 5-8 year olds watch "The Office" or "Community" or "Grimm"? None that I know of. It's a shame that things like "One to Grow On" and similar things are left to collect dust now. :(

Oh yea today those other kids would have waited until dark then shivved the snitch and burried him in the sand box and when they found his body the next day the entire park would be shut down until some shit eating politician passed a law requiring surveillance cameras or some other ridiculous over-expensive measure to be implemented at all parks across the country "to protect our children", running up the cost of parks until no one could even afford to go to them anymore.
