@TheMisdirectingHand I like how in Monk that after each scene, he says what he found and who he's suspicious of, etc. In Psych, he's in a room and I didn't even know he was investigating until the end where he says all the clues

Also, in Monk I feel like they give you enough clues to solve the mystery. Psych seems like they jump from one conclusion to another and they don't let the audience in on. Half the clues.

@samipod42 They are two different shows, I much prefer Psych over Monk because of the more overly calm moods of Shawn and Gus, whereas everybody else is serious. The reason they jump from conclusion to conclusion is because he is a "Psychic," whereas Monk is actually known for his deducting skills. The clues are presented, but you'd have to be smart enough to deduct it yourself... this is only my two cents though.

I love Psych, bit I'm sorry to say, Monk is a much better show. It has so much emotion, relatable characters, and when he solves the case everything just comes together. In Psych, some of the mysteries are just ridiculous and laughable. I remember one where a guy had multiple personalities and one of them killed someone. Also, in Psych, the only funny characters in my opinion are Shawn and Gus. They work off each other so well. In Monk, we have Monk, Sharona, Natalie, Captain, and Randy. They'r

I use to be a big Monk fan (Still am) But all the sadness just gets to you after awhile, I've lost people close to me like Monk so I always got down. Psych adds a great mystery but with alot of humor!! Its a happy show xD even though its about murder cases

@giannini36 psych was partially based off monk, but i dont think it's fair to compare them, monk was a very sad man with OCPD and OCD like habits who had a gift for noticing details and solving homicides, with severe awkwardness and a wife who was murdered. psych is a young man with a best friend who together have a really charming and quirky comedy about them. he also has a knack for locating details but he uses it to pretend he's a psychic and solves crimes... just different
