I just finished farming for my Pure Bladestone from that very same BP Black Skelly (July/21/10), so it's still very much possible. Thief's Ring+Soul Form+Clever Rat's Ring+30% HP+Dragon Bone Smasher backstab and 2 R2 attacks is all it takes.

Oh, and of course a whole day devoted to farming that. You could throw in a bit of farming the other (non-BP) Black Skelly just off the 1st Reaper room in 4-2 to break the monotony, but just stick to this BP version and bash your head in for a coupla hours.

offering almost every unique weapon(missing a few demon souls weaps like morion blade but got all tendency weaps), all rings and all other +5 weapons(missing darkmoon and mercury, for trophy) if you can trade me a blade weapon +5 so i can have the trophy :d wisper ingame "ropefly" or on youtube -- PLAYING EU SERVERS

@dragooner4 I don't think it's possible. As even with the Thief's ring on, they can still see you. But, approaching from the Old Hero Archstone seems to make the mantas disappear altogether.

@BBoyPhreshershist I know I'm not who you asked, but there are a few options. If you're a male, the BEST light armor is the Ancient King armor set. You get it from defeating Old King Doran. If you're talking non-metallic armor, go for the Black Leather set, which you find in 3-1. If you're a female, pretty much the best armor is the Binded Set which you get off of Miralda in 1-1 if you have Pure White Tendency, but you can still use Black Leather with women too.

@byakokoko it's not true. they dont turn around. oajlu is probably wearing a bunch of armor. if you wear armor then they turn around because they can hear you. ive been doing this for weeks looking for a pure bladestone; they dont turn around.

@oajlu no they didn't, I was just playing and got millions of souls off them, you just need to be more careful (try being in soul form with no armour on)

the pure bladestone gives you the sharp uchi sumthin lyke that sword, the sword is based on dexterity, good sword if ur going 4 the dex stats,

Soulsucker is a spell you learn from yuria. You have to have the soul of the maiden in black which you get at the end of the game if you do the good ending

I'm using a Kris Blade+5 and an Insanity Catalyst. The Kris Blade is in Stonefang Tunnel (2-1) before you take the elevator down to the fog where the Armored Spider is. The Insanity Catalyst is forged by Blacksmith Ed using a Wooden or Silver Catalyst with a Yellow Demon's Soul (from the Old Monk; the last boss of the Tower of Latria). It's not nooby it's perfectly okay to ask.

@SuperJjthejetplane i have around 10 billion souls but cba to get anymore as it's killed the fun and just want the last trophy for platinum.

basically get a friend to drop 99 of hero and legendary (think it's those, the 10k and 8k per use) and thats around 1.7m ish there, or soul suck him for ages, using loads of regen magic and so forth. but he doesn't lose anything when he turns the console off, but you gain billions. good luck.

@ChrisRokers i think baby dagger is, found after fool's idol, but im not sure. also, blind seems pretty good, found by killing black phantom version of selen in 5-1 (maybe 5-2, i forget). u need a blk world tendancy to do so though. blind has weak base stats, s rank in dex (nothing else) and ignores shields. upgraded by blksmith ed with colorless souls.

there is a easier way to get a p blade stone, the hidden path near the first reaper during pure black tendency, a katana skeleton should be there, who has a much higher drop rate of p bladstone the the black phantom skeletons

Heh, you can use Thirst too, and stack it with the Ring of Avarice and Silver Bracelet(if using a female character).

Soulsuck the BP Katana Skeleton and then Soulsuck one of the BP Cleaver Skeletons before Thirst wears off.
