I saw this movie when it premiered but had largely forgotten how good it is. Fascinating battle between reason and faith,science and superstition. It doesn't really take a side because the subject matter is so complex. Mental illness? The Devil at work? Not sure. ''The Exorcism'' seems pretty thin beside this movie,even tacky.

I have to say she did an amazing job in displaying anneliese's story. if anneliese had 6 demons inside of her, I understand why she didn't have a fighting chance.

she was tormented, tortured and was driven almost insane when she found out she couldn't stop the demons and she was upset and angered that she was going to die a painful death but because of her some skeptics, who have read the book, know now that her battle is true and cuz of her they know that there is real evil and real good.
