  • 1stSgt says, "BMG used to stand for 'Browning Machine Gun,' now its stands for 'Big Motherf***in' Gun!'"

  • zeppelin and 50's. Sooo cool! thanks.

  • 8:45 thats what she said

  • That incendiary if i remember correctly is the Rafoss Mark 211 mod 0 incendiary. Very nice bullet.

  • @Ratkill9000 These are standard and not the HEDP ones from Norway.

  • ya the hornaday A-max better be fun a 65 buck for a box of only 20 bullets. i mean not even loaded just the bullet, no casing no primer no powder

  • @crackshot323 no fun

  • ahhhhhh fuckn sweet. the only times i get to shoot my .338 awsm is when we're doing ops in Germany. fck politics in Holland

  • @TheDoorkickers Hopefully the people of Europe will see what reckles folly Socialism is.

  • @ammosmith i know right!

  • @TheDoorkickers Our government is flirting with socialism in a careless and dangerous manner. Anyways...come over to our site...we have shooters from Holland, Germany and all over.

  • @ammosmith Yeah! Come to Norway! The most socialistic rathole in the hole world! Fuck sosialism!

  • @airsoftsupportsnipe1 I think socialism has run it's course and the Europeans are ready to get rid of it once and for all.

  • But who's got the biggest, BALLS OF THEM ALL!

  • left handed ftw!

  • actually 1600 yards is not a mile, 1600 meters is a mile, and 1760 yards is a mile

  • remember guys, ronnie barrett himself called this a cute gun witch coud be used for hunting :)

  • semper fi brother, just graduated from Parris Island Sept. 23rd, could not be happier! also, is the .416 version of the m99 available with the 32 inch barrel or just the 29 inch?

  • @snipinggod29 That I'm not sure of. The .416 is still catching on but I really think bigger is better. Barrett needs a 20mm version.

  • Wish I had that gun!! Pretty little chance though due to living in the Uk! Ha

  • yeeehaw!

  • almost thought i was listening to my own ipod lol

  • holly shit, no fucking earprotection !!!!

  • hello. im buying a Barrett M99 in a mo. i live in IL and id like to know if u know of a place around IL i can go shoot 50 bmg? If i have to travel a bit out of IL thats ok. Thank you!

  • @rayhjr09 I don't know. Come to our forum...we have people from IL there who may be able to help.

  • @rayhjr09 theres a range in polo you can shoot them at, but its only like 200yds

  • Damn!!!!!!!! A sweet ass .50, camping, and good music!!!! (Metalllica and Joe Satriani)

If that isnt the best damn combination the earth has ever seen, then i dont know what is...

  • @krazzykid96 It's like that every time we go out camping. Awesome!

  • @ammosmith

    LOL LUCKY!!! I WANT ONE!!!

  • Ricochet will be deadly man for this gun...

  • Comment removed

  • isn't the M99 "stronger" than the other gas-operated barrets?

  • @GRFalkonas This isn't a gas operated weapon. It's a single sho bolt action. The barrel is made by Krieger and is arguably the best barrel to be had.

  • 8 people shot themselves in the foot when they saw this video

  • Wow. It reminds me of a video I saw where "they" shot at a simulated building with various rounds to see what damage is inflicted. The guns used were an AR15, AK47, Bolt action .308, and a Browning M2. The .50 carnage was comical, as it penetrated some targets at an angle of less than 20 degrees. Good Video man!

  • @ammosmith. I am getting it in the .416 caliber. But from my research I see that the bolt action M99 is more accurate than the M82A1 in that caliber. Now I'm confused if I want to give up accuracy for magazine capacity. Thanks for your input!

  • I have a question......do you prefer having the bolt action M99 over a M82A1? I am torn on which one to purchase. The price isn't an issue but more of what I am looking forward to in performance

  • @TheFiredude1980 If I had the money I'd go for the M82A1..for those quick follow up shots. The M82A1 is way out of my price range and is offered in two calibers...416 Barrett and 50 BMG as well as a conversion from one to the other.

  • metallica sad but true is playing in the back round

  • "I wonder if they heard me shooting at them?" *POW!!!!!* "Probably not, you're only firing a smaller version of a grenade launcher."

  • i thought that thing was a rpg 7

  • Metallica in the background HAHA

  • I was just about to say I bet that thing sounds like an explosion if you didn't have hearing protection and apparently it does lol. Great vid!! btw the 8 douches that didn't like this video must have been at the business end of the beautiful weapon because I don't know why you wouldn't like it.

  • @pokesfan92 Envy I think.

  • @pokesfan92 It's amazing how many people forget to put the hearing protection on...they get all jazzed about shooting it and lose their train of thought.

  • Thanks for sharing this great video!

  • Hahaha, that must ve fun shootin' the ol' Barrett! I have that same gun and it is alot of fun. Very good music by the way!

  • imagine that in your cranium!!

  • Yea so I turned 18 last July and was thinking of getting a Barrett when I had the money. I want something that is both aesthetically pleasing and good for shooting targets and dicking around. I was thinking either the M95, the M99 or the M107. Think you could suggest one I'd like best? I'm really looking at the M95 since bolt-action is just so...satisfying to watch the used cartridge eject. I don't live in California, I live in Washington - I know we aren't as strict at regulating firearms.

  • @DarkGlaceon The M99 holds the accuracy record at 2000 meters. The M107 has a shorter barrel than the M82A1 so it has slightly less range. They make a M82 that can be converted between .416 Barrett and the 50 BMG. That rifle is about $9000. I like the M99 for price point but I prefer the M82A1 for firepower and acuracy.

  • @DarkGlaceon good luck getting the M107 unless you got 13K

  • It's a destructive device and stricly controlled.

  • @ammosmith no its not...... how did you get a youtube channel? it is not a DD

  • @dchstrack Not a DD. A 20mm is the 50 is 12.7mm As long as it's not larger than 51 caliber and the ammunition is not fused. You can get a 600 or a 700 nitro express and it's not a DD because it's not a military arm. If you were to get a 14.5mm Soviet you would need a DD permit.

  • as much as i would LOVE to have a 700 nitro express i like my shoulders the way they are, and not twisted around my back. haha

  • @dchstrack My 505 Gibbs shoots a 630gr cast bullet at around 2400 f/s out of a 9 pound rifle. THAT HURTS! A 600 nitro or a 700 nitro is usually in a 20 pound double rifle. I call my 505 "Thor" cuz it generates 140 pounds of free recoil. I weigh 150 pounds...and getting punched my Mike Tyson is painful.

  • Must be fun to spy on people 20,000 meters away with that spotting scope.

  • @GuyGuy184

thats right but the diffrence to the m107 and the m82 is the m107 was an upgraded version the m82 was needed in the 1980

  • Thats my kind of camping trip. Looks like you had a lot of fun. The muzzle blast and impact on target is a sight to behold. Pure unadulterated power!!! Lol.

  • The barret m99 as well as the m82 were both chambered in both rounds. supposedly the .416 flies longer and is more stable as it transitions subsonic.

  • 50 BMG (AKA) Big motherfucking Gun

  • @cookervillpop101 Haha..

  • @barzn337 lol yah

  • Comment removed

  • @cookervillpop101 oops i meant compared to the 107 semi auto the m99 is a lower caliber but is better than an 50BMG

  • @jcodym13 i thought the M99 was also a 50 cal

  • tnx ammosmith for uploading. very interesting video.

  • Why dont you put the targets like 1000 yards away, your shooting too close.

  • yeah i think the armor piercing incendiary is the coolest

  • What is the difference between the barret m99 and barret m95 also whats the difference between the m107 and the m82a1

  • @GuyGuy184 The M95 has a 5 round magazine and can hold a 10 round one. The M99 is a single shot rifle. The M82A1 is semi auto of course but it the full size version. The M107 is shorter and lighter.

  • @ammosmith WHy don't you have any raufoss mk.211?

  • Awesome vid! One of the best shooting vids on Youtube.

But no hearing protection? That can't be healthy

  • I thought the M99 was chambered for .416.

  • @Roflzmahwoflz It's available in both

  • of all barretts like m82, m95 and m99. I like most M95 because it have 5 round mag bullpup bolt-action rifle. m82 is too heavy and the mag is front of the grip it make harder to scope with it. M99 is good too like M95 but it doesn't have mag and thats why i wouldn't use it

  • @sephirot133 m99 is the most accurate though

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 yes but i don't like it because it doesn't have magazine

  • @sephirot133 ach yea, thats an good point

  • @sephirot133

Although the M82a2 variant was bullpup.

  • the 8 noobs who red thumbed down this video, go stand in a strieght line for a penatration test :P

  • @pivotraqert lol, this is just me, but, stopping power??? That round goes near a foot of you you could break a bone!!! I think you'd stop if that hit you.

  • excuse me, but I thought that the m99 shot .416 rounds? not BMGs?

  • @SasquatchLegend Same action.

  • @SasquatchLegend it was originally chambred for the 50.bmg, then Barrett chambered it for the 416 as it is such an accurate rifle to start with. so now it is avaliable in .416 and .50BMG.

  • @rickrollification okay thanks for the clarification.

  • @SasquatchLegend no problem :)

  • @SasquatchLegend they can shoot both

  • @pivotraqert What???? Stay away from guns....

  • Fricken Lefties!

  • @pivotraqert They shoot the same ammunition but the M82A1 has the advantage of being semi auto.

  • @ammosmith but the semi auto makes it less accurate for some reason

  • I like when the song starts he slowly turns around.

  • Your range finder almost looks like it would launch something! Cool video.

  • nice camp ground and perfect for shooting too, may i ask where this is?

  • love the led zeppelin. great video!

  • One of the best barrett and .50 BMG videos out there. Thank you.

  • I would hate to be the target behind that scope!!! lol :-((

  • 4:31 - 4:34 xD

  • r u with the military?

  • @1239sierra Not anymore.

  • HAHA "Now I have even more selective hearing". I hate it when that happens. Actually, I really hate the deafness you experience for a week and the constant buzzing that sticks around forever. Nothing quite like permanent hearing damage in the name of your hobby.

  • WOW and he is a left handed xO

  • after this they went mining for gold in those mountains

  • awesome vid

  • Absolutely awesome video! Where was this filmed at?

  • At 8:00 is that the shell you are holding? If it is, should'nt it be too hot to touch due to the powder going off?

  • @TheMohawkNinja No. Only in a semi auto does the case get really hot. The chamber acts like a huge heat sink. In a semi auto the case gets flung out and can't transmit the heat to the chamber wall.

  • what scope are you using?

  • @catalysts17az Leupold LR 6.5-20x56mm and a 30mm tube.

  • OK, America !

  • I know it's none of my bussiness but how did you loose your sight in one eye

  • @thezodiac8973 Always a lefty but I shoot with both hands equally as well.

  • @ammosmith um i asked about your eye but cool thanks

  • @thezodiac8973 I lost my vision in my right eye from a fever.

  • my god it pierced through 2 inches thick steel.

  • And that wasn't the discarding sabot round either. That will easily go through 3" and then some.

  • how old do you have to be to own/purchase one of these?

  • 18.

  • ok, good, any certain qualifications? and how much is that model?

  • @ammosmith When you went half blind did you half to transfer from right to left or were you always lefty?

  • Is that rangefinder the same as the one that goes with the Flak 88?

  • Yes.

  • BOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!

Man, FPS_Doug would be so happy with that rifle. :-) And I've got to say, with the echoing in that little valley and all, the firing of the rifle sounds very, very cool.

And yes, those rounds are huge. I've got a ball-point pen made out of an empty .50BMG round. It's actually a really good fit for the hand, perfectly sized.

But please, Ammo, wear some ear protection next time!

  • right on led zeppelin!!!

  • Hey man, just wondering if you get any jarring when firing one of those?

  • I love how Metallica starts playing right after you shoulder fire the m99

  • We were listening to XM radio too...strange how things just fall into place.

  • go to 9:07 it looks like theres a tornado in the background lol

  • how did you get access to armor piercing rounds, thought they didn't sell it to civilians

  • They do when available. Only certain states restrict them. The best ones are the WCC Armor Piercing Incendiary. They are the most accurate and most effective available to the public. They are good to about 2000m.

  • man you know a lot. let me milk you a little then- what has a longer range and accuracy- .50 or .416?

  • Well it depends really on a lot of factors. The 416 does have longer range but from what I am getting from those who have the rifles in 416 there are issues with accuracy. I think once you go past 1600 yards (1 mile) there are a lot of factors that play into a hit or miss including the earths rotation.

  • .416 is probably the best bullet right now because it's a balance between the .408 and the 50 cal

it has more power than the .408 and travels faster than the 50 cal

but is weaker than the 50 cal but and a tiny bit slower than the .408

    so it's a balance

  • I like the ability of getting AP, API, APIT, APT and other specialized rounds for the 50 over the .416

  • Comment removed

  • i wasn't basing it on future weapons even though that show is pretty accurate. if it's a soft target .416 is the best round (in my opinion)

  • There are calibers out there that are not standard that are very interesting. the 20mm necked to 50 caliber is one and the 50 BMG improved. I plan on getting a 416 Barrett at some point but not sure when.

  • im English, but holy shit, only America could create a beauty like that.

  • The British make some fine weapons too..Holland and Holland, Enfield, Accuracy International and many others.

  • God Bless the 2nd Ammendment!!! Beautiful weapon!!

  • Sweet. I just had to rate this 5 stars when it was finished. And yes, Ronnie Barrett will be getting my business one day.

  • lmfao thats some crazy shit

  • you have a great taste in music ammosmith

  • wow that range finder's pretty old school.

  • It was designed in the 1930's. It's called a "coincidental rangefinder". 200-30,000meter range capability. Most laser range finders are only good to about 440-100m depending on the model. This rangefinder is passive. No light to trace back to the source. It's very accurate, w compared to to a laser and they are right on with each other. We shoot the 50 out to 1600+ yards so we needed something to range it for us.

  • @ammosmith That's pretty impressive but isn't exactly practical. It's probably intended when shooting at targets but not when targets are firing back...

  • You're right. It's an artillery range finder. The scope I have on mine has mil dots but I think a laser is better for instant range. I uess if you're in a position that is 1000m or better you have a moment or two to get out of the area.

  • wow....i pity the guy on the wrong side of the barrel...how many rounds can the m99 hold?

  • How did you lose your eye? And are you right or left handed?

  • I lost my vision from a fever and I'm left handed.

  • on the spoter tracer is that a 209 in it

  • No. I am not sure what it is exactly but they were pulled from the 50 Spotter round (the short 50) then loaded in the BMG. The really kick too.

  • is the m99 has more range than a cheytac m200?

  • Not sure if the ballistics. The 50 BMG has a wide assortment of ammunition that makes very useful. I don't think the .408 has that option.

  • yep stil the reason why 50 cal rounds are my favorits its standard amenution

  • What is the optics you are using on your M99? I am thinking of purchasing one and i wanted a good scope.

  • Leuopold 8.5-22x50mm LR

  • Cool, i kinda figured it was Leupold, but i didn't see the signature gold ring, so i wasn't sure. Didn't know you could get them without the gold. Thank you very much.

  • Scope cap covers it.

  • It's a leupold LR 8.5-22x50mm and it runs about $1200 depending who you get it from.

  • wow !! it`s like hot knife going thru butter lol

  • truly amazing. it makes ou think about whats going through the enemies head as they see that. great vid:P

  • How much was the M99? I'm thinking one a .50 cal sniper, and Barrett is my first choice for its design, track record, and (duh) looks.

  • W/O optics about $3500

  • Oh, thanks. I see that shooting it is pretty expensive, seeing that each round is around $5. Do you think the entire set (rifle, optics, and ammunition) are worth everything you paid for it?

  • Yes! It's accurate to over 2000 yards.

  • semper fi

  • Semper Fi! Thanks Brother!

  • I shot an m95... man it is a beast. The thing is dead on acurate and the rcoil isnt as much as everyone says. the muzzle break heps eliminate a very large percent of recol. I loved shooting the m95.

  • i thought this gun came in .416?

  • It does...it's offered in 50 BMG and .416 Barrett

  • Got caught up in the moment.

  • Me likey especially when you should fire the .50. I want a try..
