@khalilrabee If any of the laws or penalties conflict with UK laws or Civil Rights then they must not be allowed. A large number of the British Muslim community would agree with me. It would also be wrong for any legal matters to be resolved outside of the Court of Justice. Its a shame people are using the issue to attack the Muslim community though. @khalilrabee I can only speak for the UK on this matter, but the correct action of stopping racism would be to end segregation. The Government intentionally placed people of the same ethnic group together in allocated residential areas. And because of this people have become insular and developed opposing identities. This has led to cultural stagnation for everyone living in the UK, It needs to be addressed as these `ethnic divisions` should not exist.

Christianity was in the same league of barbarism as Islam, but when people put their community before the more extreme parts described in Leviticus and exodus it mellowed into something more civilised.(with a few exceptions of-course)

The Government intentionally placed people of the same ethnic group together in allocated residential areas. And because of this people have become insular and developed opposing identities. This has led to cultural stagnation for everyone living in the UK, It needs to be addressed as these `ethnic divisions` should not exist.

yeah most probably (religion has influences on politics as we all know) the aim of this protest was to have one set of secular laws for all, no discrimination or divion :)

@m007417 as much as I respect your right of chosing not to adapt a shariaa law or religous law as you call it , you can not enforce me or other muslims to adhere to secular law as we simply won't accept it since it is against our religion and faith. simple heh ?

@Amero1 thanks for the respectful comment, what i have against sharia law is that it discrimenates againts other faiths or of none, but a secular law does not since it follows no religious rules, so muslims, christans, jew, budists, atheist, etc all can live in an equal soceity where they're religion is personal to them and not forced on others, so what exactly is your problem with a secular state? (cuase i got alot of muslim friends who are very happy with it)

@m007417 Thanks for your reply, it is fundemntal part of our faith is to believe that people should embrace islam upon their own wish without any kind of enforcement. Mohammed (PBUH) lived together with the jews in Madina , he protected their properties and made clear instuctions to all muslims that jews are full citizens of the islamic state that was established in Madina, provided that all citizen equally must pay "Zakah" tax , so that funds are available to support the needy.

@m007417 also I don't know who said that we (Muslims) would like to transform Britain or any part of the world into an Islamic state. we can invite people to embrace Islam but it is uterly unacceptable to enforce them to believe in Islam. I hope you can see the difference. sorry for my spilling

@m007417 Yes true, but radicals are found across all religions and even amongst politicians themselves, I should not be worried too much about such group of people as they're normally have minimal impact of any at all on steering things towards their way.
I am originally from Egypt where the vast majority are muslims yet we have about 15% christians and churches built every where in the country with no problems at all.

Unlike muslims who attempt to impose their barbaric/brutal medieval sharia law on to their adoptive country - the British who emigrate to middle-east countries do not act like their asshole muslim counterparts & demand (like the rude, unwelcome guests they most certainly are) that these countries adopt aspects of British culture.

@atrumira : I have visited the UK several times and it came to me as a quiute chock to see as many poor people whom are living in what you call it their state building or council homes or whatever. with dirty streets and old buildings except for the areas dominated by rich Arabs such as (Knightsbridge - Mayfair - Bayswater - Queens way - Edgware Road - Park Lane ) I have seen that most of its residents are arabs from Dubai, Kwuait, Saudi, Qatar, bahrain and even Egypt. so please I need a break

yes but if u live in a nonmuslim country u have to listen to their laws (unless it personally discriminates u, like blacks in america), if a western was in a muslim country wouldnt u want them to follow ur laws? wouldnt u be mad if they started protesting to make it secular? u have to respect other ppl's laws or ur a transgressors and u should know well enough wat the quran says about transgressors

Wouldn't things like "don't kill/steal/rape" count also as "secular" as they don't have a necessary religious component? How about traffic violations - which are also non-religiously based? The "secular" law you speak of focuses on our commonalities - we don't want people to kill or be killed, raped, robbed etc, these "secular" laws we can agree upon despite being religious or non-religious.

@TurboDally : I have studies almost all religions and only Islam convinced me as it has a lot more sense and logic than others, however as muslims we believe in Judaism and Christianity but we believe jesus was messanger just as Mohammed (PBUH) not as a son of god or sometimes god himself. Creator is not like creatures god is a supreme power no one like and he is not like any one. he cannot eat or drink he can not sleep, he cannot be limited in a space or be controlled by time.

Not killing, stealing, raping are not derived from religion - hence they are secular. But yet you still adhere to these particular secular laws with no opposition, why? Of course it doesn't, but I never was a Christian nor are any other members of my family...We also have a fairly decent understanding of what happens when 1 persons religion rules over the other by force & implements its laws onto others. Hence the requirement for secular laws - laws in which we can all agree with that do not religiously oppress others.

There is a law and it is enforced in the UK. Even the evil prince from Saudi had 'Adhere' to it and is adhering to it for a long time in prison for his wicked murder of his servant.
The sharia law seems to deal with marriages a lot as they are not legally recognised in the UK as the Mosque refuses to have them registered.

The police and army have guns that can help force you to follow the laws if you don't yourself. (and I hope that they do!) If it's my religious belief that women should be stoned for adultery can you force me not to stone her?!?! I think so....
