  • that is what i call a dinosaur!!!

  • I used to play this game mainly for the different tunes.

  • Ge a capture card device.

  • very bad quality from atari

  • Man I killed @ this game in the 80's! THis theme music just pop in my head and I started whistling it then I said wait that's Popeye! Makes me wanna cry. :) Thanx for the upload!

  • Yes, the next level is different, there are about 3. I have this for the 800XL. Great game.

  • Really loved this game on the NES. Still do actually.

  • hey Bluto looks like a old cash register with legs or that typewriter guy on classic sesame street (B....BLUTO)

  • I loved this game. It's pretty addictive. The music and the sound effects are nice and fun for atari2600.

  • I thought this game would be utter poopoo until I bought the cartridge. It's pretty addictive and fun to play from time to time. Sure, the graphics are as basic as you can get but the gameplay is quite good.

  • Good graphics in ANY game are like physical beauty: it's a foot in the door but it doesn't guarantee the sale (there are many games with good graphics but with poor gameplay ie Assassin's Creed)

  • Is that a Rottweiler barking?

  • That's Bailey. We suspect he's a bloodhound/retriever cross. He's huge, loud, and stupid.

  • I'm a fan of this game. All versions I ever played: Odyssey 2, Atari 2600, Intellivision and Arcade and NES.

  • There is a Atari 5200 and coleco version as well. Besides the characters being colorless, I think Bluto looks better on the 2600 then the 5200 version. On the 5200 Blutos face looks like the number 5!

  • Yeah, compared with some arcade conversions on the system, it's not bad at all.

  • Yeah, I have to admit even with the flickering the sprites for Popeye and Brutus (or Bluto as many come to know via the cartoons) are surprisingly detailed. Parker Bros. did some rather nice conversions.

  • @SteveBenway i know it has been forever since you posted this, but yes there are 3 different bords on this game. this was one of my favorite games for the atari 2600 when i was a kid!!!

  • You have to admit, it's a surprisingly decent conversion for the 2600.
