Good try. At points you almost sounded like Mahjabeen (who originally sang this song). The rmeix twist was nice as well. The only con here is, the song sounds like an indian version of pashto music. You need to bring that Pashto tone in it to hit the high notes, which I felt were too indian style.

Overall thumbs up for a great try.

As I understand this song was sung originaly by Naghma jaan and Mangal but with different lyrics.

Actually you must have been misinformed Sharon. Naghma was too little to sing the song when this song was sang by Khayal Mohammed in 60's for a Black n White movie produced in Peshawar, Pakistan and then later on sang by Mahjabeen Qizilbash and Khayal Mohammed as duet in the late 70s. However I am sure the version (Naghma/Mangal) that you have heard, must have had different lyrics, but Mumtaz is pointing towards the mistake in wrong usage of words.

What gets on my nerves is, if this Obaid is adamant in singing in Pukhto, the least he can do is to pronounce the words correctly.

I bet the Pukhtaana who laid the music down for this Obaid person probably had a little chuckle amongst themselves, when he pronounced the words incorrectly, lol.

Obaid should follow in Sharon's footsteps, I mean this lady sings Pukhto clearly, with the right pronunciation and as always, is a joy to listen to. Der eh sifatoona mi okral joray, aus dar na zam, lol.

When one is in a position where many people would listen to you the least you can do is, pronounce the words correctly. Regardless of where he is from, his pronunciation of the Pukhto language is wrong, If you do not believe me, all you need to do is listen to the first line Obaid sings.

I should be thankful to Obaid? That is like me singing a song in French and regardless of any mistakes I make, expecting the French public to be thankful. Nonetheless, I am thankful to Sharon for doing a great job, keeping in mind that she is not a Pashtoon. My words regarding Sharon, which I have mentioned in a one of the texts below, were:

Well dear Mumtaz Pukhtun .... it's nice to see someone caring about details so much. Though Im not an expert in linguistics but I always enjoyed listening to Pashtu in it's many accents spoken around the regions of Lur Pakhtunkhwa or Bur Pakhtunkhwa. Be that from Kabul, Peshaware,Bannu, Zhob,Khost,Qandhar or Mansehra. Either spoken by Kharay in Peshawar or Tajik in Kabul, I simply love it. In fact for the last 22 years I m looking to find a nationalistic song sung by Ahmad Zahir & Hangama.

Take it easy guy. its not a great deal to learn pashto or pakhto or pashtu. dont be so proud of ur language. read its history first and compare it to other languages.

I was pointing out some basic mistakes which one of the singers has made. Why don't you mind your own business. I don't like the tone of your words. Understand the context of my words and then make comments, otherwise go on with your business.
