I think it works quite well. Perhaps a little more minimalist than some of the other bits I have seen here, but then, it is never wise to lock oneself in the same box all the time, in any art.
I can't believe I missed this over the weekend! Luckily Peri saw how brilliant it was and pointed us back here. The whole thing is perfect, but my favorite line is "take our loneliness out on each other." Just brilliant.
Thank you! This comment led me to your page, which led me to see that somewhere along the line I ended up unsubscribed on accident. Problem remedied. :)
Mandy is good... just a busy wife lol. And thank you! Those first few lines were all that existed for this piece for a quite a while and I think they are my favorites as well.
I love that you pause at the start of the video. Such a poser, Stef :P Naw, it was grande. Like the Starbucks size that I've never had because I've never been to Starbucks and I also don't drink coffee.
And it IS hard to write a story (or a poem for that matter) when the words just don't belong. FRUSTRATION CITY! That's my little comment rant.
I think this is rather better than you believe. It comes across like a conversation and it's definitely written in your new, much looser style. There are loads of good ideas in this poem, I like
"Skip all the apologies
Go straight to the forgiving"
"take our loneliness out on each other"
However the best thing about this poem is that you wrote it and that your are back writing again.
I think we should fuck!

It's not HORRIBLE at all. As is generally the case, I find your poetry very interesting.

Wow, what a revelation Peri's song was to this.
It's a brilliant song, yet as a poem I wasn't relating to it.
So... Stef, it turns out you are a lyricist.

Whoops! Haha the danger of signing on using friend's computers is forgetting to make sure you're really signed in as yourself!

I liked it! Nice phrases in there, like nordicsky said. Someone should set this to music... Oh, someone did! :)
