thankks. CD is already out. See my "Album Announcement" video and see "buy" links on my channel or just go to Itunes or Amazon and search "Tony R Clef - Tuesday Afternoon". And thanks again.
You are fantastic! One of my all-time favorite songs, and you do an amazing job of interpreting it on the acoustic guitar. Thanks so much for sharing your talent!!
I've been playing guitar for over 40 years, this song has been the most single difficult for me to play...can you e-mail your starting chrod? Exquisite!
of course even more interesting is the 2nd chord which some might play as a simple f# barre chord. that would be a shame. it's f# in 2nd inversion (ie, c# in the bass)
now revisiting the original track i find i'm not playing the very easy to do bass line that repeats throughout. first time is right after "long hair go"..bom bom bom bom. those 4 bass note are easy to incorporate so make sure you add them.
What continues to amaze me about this version- it's the only one I've heard that adds to the original, while preserving and honoring every musical idea Brian had in 1966. Having heard so many covers, including some nice ones, there's never a note or a chord here where I say "Great, but I miss that other thing..."
It simply adds to the original. A stunning achievement. Breathtakingly beautiful work.
SO beautiful! And so nice to see Brian's music respected this way. MORE of Brian's tunes Please! How bout something from the 20/20 album? Time To Get Alone or I Went To Sleep maybe???
Hey,Thank You! for this amazing videos and skills! you got this song even more deeper into my heart.almost got me cried there...Superb! :) keep up the good job!
So beautiful. I just also watched God only Knows and that was just as beautiful. You know, you could make an absolute FORTUNE by tabbing & publishing these fantastic arrangements! You da man - brilliant.
That was such a beautiful guitar rendition of this song . . . it sent chills down my spine every bit as much as the official recording does. It was perfect.
And I almost never leave comments on YouTube, so there you go!
I assume you are a music theory professor at some university or community college somewhere... not just because of the way you play... but you look like one. Beautiful cover of what is probably my favorite song on one of my favorite albums of all time.
Sometimes a song touches so close to the soul that it forces a person to sit back and reminisce, recalling the time, place and girl with whom the song was first heard and appreciated. You've captured that essence and have taken me back to that era and the girl who held my heart so dearly before the Dear John letter. It's strange, after listening to your superb performance, how it all flooded back so vividly after so many years. Thank you for posting this lovely time machine.
WOW -- I wish you were my friend so I could just sit near you and listen and applaud! It was marvelous that you understood how important - how it sets the feeling of the song to include the 'tapping / or drumming' at the beginning. I send you a hug-of-appreciation.
your guitar skills are amazing, so calming - loved that you did the "drumming" on the guitar before you started playing, sounds just like the "drumming" on the original;) Nice job...!
Thats fantastic, I'll have the fingers bleeding until I can play it, I've been worshipping at the church of Wilson for many moons, and it only struck me while watching you how similar that melody is to early Jobim
Have you thought about doing a rendition of Heroes and Villains? I'm sure the complex harmonies of that one would be a real challenge, but I bet it would sound great. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, after relistening to that one, I think it might be a little too varied in instrumentation for you to approximate it accurately with just a guitar (even if you played it on a twelve string I bet). What about Hang On To Your Ego/I Know There's An Answer instead?
Haha, yeah, sure if that's what it takes. No, but really, if it were all up to me, I'd probably rather hear "I know there's an answer" than "Heroes and villains". Anyway, good luck
Thank you, for showing me this ultimate guitar version of this beautiful pet sounds-song. I really enjoy playing it like that! It's arranged so beautifully. I love it!!!...and I play it almost every day. greetings from Germany
Great job on this wonderful and sad song. I posted a video response to this vid. I played the chorus twice because I love the sound of your changes. Thanks again for all of your uploads. Incredible talent.
Pretty amazing recreation of Caroline No on just an acoustic guitar. From the percussion in the intro, to the string ensemble. One of my favorite Brian Wilson songs. Lovely. Just beautiful. I get teary eyed any time I hear this song. The chords take me back to the LA beaches in the early sixties. Warmth of the Sun is also a tear wrencher with an interesting story about what led to its composition. Again, thank you.
it's impressive how much of the song's flavor is captured in this performance. may i suggest you take a stab at the beatles "i will" and the cascades "rhythm of the rain"?
How wonderfully mellow your sound is. Very relaxing to listen to you play. You should have a cd made for the "sound" machines. Would be nice to fall asleep while listening to your many songs. Sweet dreams.

enjoying it nonetheless.
