If anybody has this laptop and is experiencing a stutter problem (like the one in my video) and has solved this problem, please tell me how to fix :(, iv tried updating drivers and even had a dell engineer come over to change the speakers and the motherboard and the stutter problem still happends.

I have the problem, and had my motherboard replaced just like you.

The stuttering only seems to occur when I play video games on ac.

It doesn't stutter on battery use.

Have you found a solution yet?

I am looking real close at pretty much one just like you have. I tried a Dell inspiron i15r-1158mrb and took it back to Walmart . I need the backlit keyboard. And would like the multitouch screen. But yea I got mine with a 2% Employee discount from my fathers job and specs it was the "impressive value" option when you choose among like 6 of them (its the second one) And with 2gb nvidia 540m core i5 2.3 -2.9ghz 1080p screen, 6 gigs ram, 750gb 7200rpm hard driv for like 1028 bucks its normally 1,045 without an employee discount. And it was 1.089 with tax HOPE THIS HELPS :)

i got my l502x AND I LOVE IT. It runs everything fine. Only thing is updating bios to A04 wont work. Got dell working on it? Is anyone else having these problems?

What's the battery life like? How bulky is the laptop, cnet seems to think it's massive, and the laptop in general is outdated? I can't tell if it's just cnet being apples butt buddy:) I'm comparing this laptop and the new 2011 15 in MacBook pro i7. The only thing that holds me back from getting one of these is the fan noise that I experienced with other Dell laptops. The previous XPS had this issue too, but I guess the new XPS does not. Would you comment on this/

Just ordered one last night....got the i7 2630QM w/ NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 2GB and 6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 Memory......just checked the status it is currently in production and I should receive by the 13th of April....hopefully sooner

Hi RCs711, does your xps have the 1080p screen? If so could you comment on text size and readability? Did you have to increase DPI or anything to be able to read? I mostly surf sites, read forums and do school work on word. I'm worried about small text. I'm having a hard time deciding between 720p screen or 1080p screen, and no stores have a 1080p laptop I can test in person. Would really appreciate your advice

Awesome summary of the L502X. I'm going to get one soon. It's a shame the UK dell website don't have this model yet. Have to get it from eBay therefore I cant customise it.

but for £799 with i7 2630QMm, 6gb Ram, 2gb Nvidia GT 540m thats excellent. PC world in UK does the last model with i5 and 4gb Ram with GT420m for the same price.

It's been two days since that comment lol. What kind of issues are you having? I got the same machine and have only one complaint. When recording with the microphone, it picks up the fan. But i'm doing this while using the Nvidia GPU, so that's why I guess. Been recording myself playing a video game. Go look at the latest 2 videos I've posted and you will see what I'm talking about.
