hi! so nice of you to discuss your experience and share with everyone! i didn't look through all the comments so this may have been asked already (sorry!) but do you find that people notice them? and if so to what degree, and how often?
I am on my 5th tray now and my teeth are moving but one tooth on the bottom was pushed forward and when i close my mouth now it hitss the back of the top tooth .. it is very unc0omfortable .. did that ever happen to you???
Hi, I've been considering invisalign and I have teeth somewhat like yours and I was wondering the cost of them for you? A reply would be might helpful, I'm not going to my ortho for a while.
My orthodontist has advised me not to begin an invisalign treatment since it could worsen a relaxed lips-closing. Hence - in my case- he would prefer normal braces with an extraction of healthy teeth ....(since invisalign would not be able to close the extraction-gaps) Have you made any experiences in this regard? Does invisalign push your anterior teeth forward?
Actually sometimes I do get little cuts or inflammation where a tray is irritating the tissue sometimes. It usually goes away after a few days though. If it's really cutting into your gums/cheeks I would go back to your ortho and ask them to file down or cut back the trays a bit. I would say you could probably do this yourself as I've known others to do so but it's likely best you talk to your ortho first.. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know! ;-)
Hey, I have a question. I got my invisalign yesterday and they pain, for the most part, is going away, but i have like all these cuts or w/e from the aligners rubiing the inside of my mouth. Since you had yours for a while, have you encountered this problem, if so have you found anything that helped you with this problem. ps sry if this is a weird ? lol. thnx so much
i think i've "lost" my trays a handful of times because i don't put them back in the case.. but i totally agree about passing up snacks, but if it is something i really like i usually eat it with my trays in and gargle as well as i can afterward and brush my teeth at the earliest convenience. i think after having the trays in for a lil while you tend to do a lot of things you are initially told not to cuz its such a huge lifestyle change as it is that a few mistakes don't matter all that much.
also... i've come to realize though that gum and floss picks are REALLY great if you want to have a quick snack and can't brush your teeth right after...like chew gum for like 5+ min and then use the floss picks and put the trays back in. and for everyone that says that you cant chew gum with trays in you can definitely chew dentyne or trident in fact they keep the trays from smelling bad :)
Yeah, I hate when people constantly offer me food. lol They always forget that I have my trays in. I really don't feel like running to the bathroom to brush my teeth again. As for popcorn in a movie theater. I usually just go ahead and eat the popcorn and drink my soda. Put my trays in after about 20-30 minutes, then brush my teeth as soon as I get home. I don't like brushing my teeth in front of others either. I find it extremely awkward for some reason!
Yup and thats why I got braces. They are so much easier to take care of!
