@Mirec2x Look i get your poing....we got some packages from EU after entering into it...but so did other countries too.And if as individuals we took loans to buy a house or a car i don't understand why shouldn't we as long as we was paying back.And we did pay back.The debt crisis was caused mainly from state employees including politicians who was stealing money from state.These employees are 700.000 people and not all of them of course are theives....neither other 9,000,000 of people.

I'd like to know because everyone has their own theory, but I don't know what the government is saying about it all.

@Gary190tube Actually the government has never mentioned Goldman Sachs as part of the problem.Haven't you heard our "dear" Prime Minister who called his own people corrupted...?The thing is that they have put all the blame on people.But we all know that most of politician and public servants were behind corruption.Top ministers co-operated with Goldman Sachs but we never knew this staff until now.And all the money from EU all these years were going to some pockets.

@Gary190tube For instance,lets say the state decided to fix one road in Athens.If a road had a cost only 500.000 Euro...the final expense for the road would get to 1,500,000 euro.Only because they would charge it more in order to get from state these money to fix the road.The 500,000 will go to road fixing and the other 1 mill.Euro will go to few "high pockets and their families".Did i give you an idea how the debt was created?Not all Greek people created it but only some high public servants.

@novaera5 Thanks for the reply. It's a good answer and I think a lot of people would agree with you. It sounds like the main problem is corruption (as you say) but also some other things big and small.
The way the EU and IMF are behaving at the moment does not help either.
A lot of other countries in europe and around the world share similar problems to Greece, so I wonder where this will go....

Even our PM during 2009 election was saying we have money...and after few days of wining suddenly he welcomed IMF by saying we must lend money.Suddenly the whole Europe turned against Greek people calling us lazy,corrupted and evil people.Then our government signed a traitorous agreement to sell all national wealth to foreign bosses.This is war for us.

@Mirec2x Greece has high living standards?That's not true.Most of Greeks are middle class workers who are blessed to have one house,made by their parents or grandparents and this is the only thing that still helps Greeks to survive.We are the less paid workers in Europe.Our basic salary before crisis was only 720 Euro...while the payments in rest Europe was higher than 1000E.So where did you see high living standards.Don't judge by the fact that we go out...it doesn't mean we are rich.
