I find this technique really weird on foreign television. It's basically a concession of, "Look, dubbing's too hard, it always turns out shit anyway, so we're just gonna shout all over the top of it." They actually found a way to make the original language distracting.

Anyone saying "it's funny because it's true" or whatever is missing the point. It's tongue-in-cheek. The actors/writers are fully aware that a lot of wrestling is very good, but at the same time a lot of the smaller (and some of the bigger) companies are shite. That's why the timing is SO bad, because it's insinuating that a lot of wrestlers can't actually fight without some form of script or structure - which simply isn't true for a lot of them, as their success in MMA has shown.
