achhhh... this document is one of the best what I seen in my life. Thank you so much for posting these wonderful pictures. Fantastic engine sound, great views, nice reaction of the people on streets. And... flash back to 80's time of my childhood when I had diecast models of these dream cars.
The reporter was a pansy. Scared of anything, all that p c crap makes me sick. Who cares about mpg and stuff like that. I am 38 and have plenty of money for any car in production today. I am getting a black Countach for my 40th birthday, and an 80's party with the cast of Miami Vice.
It is call self control, a very important skill at 21 you do not have. Did I mention Lituania is not a real country. Somday you may be blesed to spend some time in the best country on earth, then you may become a man.
what is your definition of a man? a man is that who was born in US? i guess that people from other country are like aliens from other planets to you because of your pathetic and miserable geographical knowledge. i bet that you were that guy who was asked by clarkson to name some countries of europe and he was like australia maybe? Wow and I'm really impressed how you googled some facts about my country and now know how small it is, so you should know that it is called LITHUANIA, not Lituania.

How many people visit America each year, and stay. How many of litalooseria or how ever you say it. Did you find out what the Scarab was? I an a very good driver. You see I have been able drive on roads I pay thousands of dollars each year to maintain, unlike your beat down junky roads. Anyhow I prefer boats to cars. I have owned 30+ great cars. I know only have plans of one more "great" car you and I both can agree on, Countach!!!!!!
and all that control stuff is pretty much bullshit, because there are 2 types of petrolheads. first type loves and have passion for cars and nothing will stop them from buying such car if they have money obviously. second type consists of some fat rich fucks who buy such cars just to impress their girlfriends and can't drive them for shit. it's a shame that sometimes the best cars a driven by complete clots. btw post some vids when you'll finally get your countach.
i saw countach back in 86 in orlando park at the orlando mall people were looking at it saying wow and thing like that it was owned by a manger frome amray the guy who owned one thing he did like about had no room for a super big subwoofer i guess you canat have every thing
Lambo had built and tested a super Countach (extensive use of carbon fibre and over 500 hp )Unfortunately, due to rich markets demanding of safer, and easier super cars, with better antipollution level, they had to give in =
This car was styled by Gandini for the great bodymaker Bertone who had been requested by Lamborghini for a new supercar-
Bertone factory was based in North West Italy and when the first prototype was just finished (not still rolling) an old partner of Bertone could confidentially have a glance - This old workman in front of such a smashing beauty was wordless just pronouncing in the typical idiom of that part of Italy "Countach!!!"which actually means WOW ( I can't believe what I'm seeing) =
It is so old that many people forgot when these cars were made, and think it is a new one. And you have to shell out six figures to get something that goes as fast, and gets more attention anyway. They are nasty tempered, hard to see out of, noisy, bumpy, and a hell of a lot of fun to drive.
One eBay, the lower priced, less then perfect Countach can go for around $50K. These are aircraft on wheels. If only they could manage an automatic 12cyl tranny for 'em!! To me, Countach translates to 'wow', but I heard that many years ago, there may be no literal English definition
Now wait a minute, I read a Lambo book that told me the above, but even so, there is no direct English translation from what I know, it is loosly compared in English. Initially I heard it may be more related to an English curse word. Essentially a phrase of astonishment
I'd like to hear other's views before I buy your answer... I did read a few Countach books.... though it's been some time. I like Powerslide7's answer!!
automatic? an auto lambo? where the hell do u get ur ideas from? i think the automatic transmittion in a sports car is the dumbest idea ever, i'd like to give the idiot who put an auto in a sports car a peice of my mind, what a dumbass he must've been, probably din't pass his drivers test.
FYI. The Bugatti Veyron had a DSG tranny. Driving pleasure wise, there is nothing that can top the feel of a full manual, and still in most cases the fastest way to shift. However, with the advancement of transmission like the DSG (which by the way Porsche and BMW is also developing), it will soon taken full manual over as the most efficient way to shift. That doesn't mean it is fun thought. ;)
the whole concept of the bugatti doesn't really support having a manual in it.
yeah i know about this, companies (i don't know which) say that this is the 21st century and a manual transmition is stone age tech, actually when i'm drivin my car i sumtimes feel that, kinda that i'm actually driving the car, i'm changin gears, so i'm actually involved in the proccess, well, bottom line they wanna make everything automatic, but there's nuthin sporty about an auto man, it sux.
How do you handle a drink in one hand while shifting? I don't care for too much activity to enjoy the driving experience... Both options are good to have, bottom line
i can handle a drink easily, i can talk on the fone, drink and drive at the same time, not a good idea, but it's easy for me, and anyway i never said anything about racing, actually a lot of racing sports don't use manuals, the whole feel i get when shifting the gear if i din't drive my can in a while is great, and i drive a lancer, so i will have to have a manual with a sports car, that's how i alwayz felt.
I can imagine the expense of going through clutches for myself anyway, I'm not good with shifting and my GM autos are renowned for how good they are, not the best, but used when updating hotrods American cars anyway. It is personal taste, but I still enjoy driving without all the shifting
I love auto trannies, I grind cluthes to death ya know. Most people driving exotics here don't race them, they just take them out on rare occasion on regular street runs
@Death666wish the first lamborghini built had an auto box from a buik skylark, lamborghini had a dream that his gearboxes should weigh less so this was his idea, also to keep the air conditioning down to a respect of size as it whined over the engine noise, this caused the pistons to half in two and valve heads would fall off with heat, so he changed it to a manual gearbox from mr.virginio ferrari
ummmmmm when you see and hear that countach being driven by valentino
Balboni? Is Incredeible.
I mean what Dave Davis say's about a 12 cylinder sports car is totally true.
I mean theres nothing else like it anywhere,
you just wanna listen to it forever,
and never get tired of it.

"Countach" (pronounced "cun-tAsh" is an expression of surprise and admiration in Modenese, a dialect similar to Bolognese, in North-central Italy.
It equates to more that just "WOW"
"Holy Cow"? Go to any Bible Belt preacher and he can tell you all you need about that, and it has nowt to do with Italy.
