Was this the chase that was on "Cops" where the police chase the stolen pickup? The cop got out of his car in a field overlooking spokane only to come back and see his catolitic converter set the grass on fire?

No, This was a police pursuit through town in the early morning and the suspect vehicle caught fire. No police cars were damaged in this pursuit.
