I love both American football and rugby. American football needs pads and helmets because the players are much bigger than rugby players and they play with a lot more physicality. Even with all the padding, the hits hurt. That's why you see so many football players with concussions. Players can throw their bodies around a lot harder and take a lot less damage because of the pads they wear.Rugby's hits are more brutal because more damage can be done to your body without the protection. @ThemTwoGameAddicts No doubt that there are some amazing players in the NFL but football as a sport is not that great.. There is no continuity. Media breaks all the time, Timeouts. Special teams, No real continuous physical challenges for the players.. But In rugby players play for all 80 minutes and its a flowing game.. Which is interesting.. There is no jealousy for NFL its just football sucks as it is..

@ThemTwoGameAddicts Leonard Peters was a safety who just missed out on making the nfl. He has played for the USA in 7's and got run down all the time. Yes on average Footballers would be quicker but to say that NO rugby players run as fast as safeties is ridiculous.
