im in england and I'm expected to move out of my supported living or hand my keys over on the 10th of this month and i don't think its fair they expect me to move out my stuff by then just after the christmas period which has been impossible to do and i only have 2 full days after today there just not being realistic why are they doing this to people these days it doesn't make sense when they give me a harder enough time as it is there this just adds to the pressure
If it would cost you more to rent somewhere else that means your landlord is giving you a break somehow, and now your rewarding them by fighting an eviction.
Landlords do not have to renew tenant leases when they expire. That includes month to month tenancy. If a landlord wishes to repossess the property after the lease he has every right to do so as long as the proper written notices to vacate the premises with the legal time periods have been issued. Most 30 days, some 60 days. Just a risk a renter takes when renting a place. You have to remember that you are living in someone else's property and they have rights to control access to it.
So, get the hell out. You don't own the building and the landlords want to renovate the building. Tenants get away with more shit than any landlord ever could. The laws are totally against landlords.
@mgilbo1 The laws are against landlords because it's the lazy man's undeserved income. You think you are doing your tenents a favor by living there but the fact you should be kissing their ass for paying you! You don't like it? Get out of it then, Live in your own house, work a job to pay your bills & everyone is happy!
We here at Taylor Place feel your pain. I am soo sorry you all have to go thru this. Ogranize tenants and stand up. Check out the videos of residents on my channel.
Hollyburn Properties replumbed Bellevue Towers on the west side in 2003 and did not issue a single eviction notice. The renovations were difficult but everyone got through them. Why didn't they issue eviction notices? Because the vacancy rate was higher back then and they wouldn't have made money during the renovations. Their motive is profit, bottom line. Be sure to mention the fact that they have renovated other premises without evicting tenants.
I live in a Hollyburn Property. Believe me, you will, especially as a group, win the arbitration hearing. Hollyburn Properties is one of the most unscrupulous, deceitful, and unethical companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They probably know they will lose to those of you who fight but they are hoping some of you won't fight it. You must appeal as a group and attend the hearing as a group. You will win. They will lose.

Either you own it or you don't, get out & buy your next place instead of renting it.
