  • well, actually, if you feed chickens, hens for that matter, with dye their eggs surely will have it's color,. maybe this chicken eats plants rich in chlorophyl, as you know we are what we eat sometimes not only by means of nutrition but appearance, likewise the flamingo, they eat mostly shrmps wich explains pink color, if theirdiet isn't mainly shrimp, it'll eventually turn gray.

  • Wow

  • I live in Oregon and my families chickens lay Blue Green and Brown eggs all the time, whats the big deal!

  • She's actually what's called an Easter Egger. What people call "Auracanas" in the U.S. are actually Easter Eggers. Auracanas are a totally different, South American breed. Anyways, all Easter Eggers are crosses, but all carry the blue or green egg laying gene. Most of them have 'sideburns' and 'beards' instead of combs and wattles, but not all. She's obviously just an Easter Egger. :)

  • ALIENS!!!!!!!

  • Not so rare, my grandmother had two chickens that did the same, I also ate some green eggs :P

  • My grandmas hens used to lay green and blue eggs all the time :) It was something I looked forward to every time I collected the eggs.

  • that`s because of all the steroids..:)

  • um its not because of steriods :) my chicken lays greenish/ blue eggs and i only give her chicken food and sometimes some other things. its just they lay they are :)

  • So what? My hen lays gold eggs :)

  • @harly1978 farmville much ;P

  • I have an Araucana/Americauna chicken. They can come in a lot of color varieties. The one in this video looked like mine, except without without the black markings on the tips of her feathers (AKA mine is prettier!) Others I've had have been nearly black and others have been varying shades of reddish brown, all with some black or dark brown accents

Maybe you can get that from these pigs that i saw that glow in the dark. They glow GREEEEEEEEEEEEN

  • @linux750 i think its just regular ham

says the title green eggs and ham

  • green eggs.... and ham? uhhhh.... yummmmmm?

  • A chicken that lays green eggs? Sure it must not be healthy eggs, over date.

  • now all I need is some green ham, sam I am!

  • now all we need is green ham.

  • yeehhaaa yo kiero un huevo moradoo

  • Don't be fooled that chicken was imported to Mexico from the Chernobyl Region.. Those eggs are HIGHLY radioactive..

  • talk about green eggs and ham

  • Easter Eggers lay green eggs so this is kind of not news worthy.

  • the green and brown eggs always seemed to have a really yellow yoke. and when you make scrambled eggs they're soo much more appealing and fluffier then store bought ones and a lot bigger..

  • When I moved to Costa Rica brown ones are the only ones you can find, I like them a lot more than the white ones :D

You need to go to, like, price mart or something to get white eggs here

  • lol whats with all the adverts of poor black people in those poor old places when this old bitch haz internet...

  • now all the need is the ham =D

  • WTF was that 1:15

  • i have 3 tipes of chickens and they are supossed to lay green eggs not very unusual

  • This isn't news. The Americana and Araucanas breeds has been laying green eggs for centuries.

  • they have a easter egg laying hen

  • This's very usual thing

  • Seus must've met this chicken.

  • now green eggs and ham seems like the bible to me. and dr seus is the messiah.

  • green eggs and ham!!!!

  • Lol that's exactly what I was thinking!

  • my chickens whole leg and half her body got bluish purple color i dunno what happened but she died like 4 days ago can u guys tell me what kind of disease this was thanks

  • well I dont know much about chickens but I know that they can just all of a sudden get very ill, If you`re curious ask you`re local vet about it or something

  • If you notice she's got a pea comb whereas the other chickens in the video don't. I think they tend to be linked, that and green or blue eggs, not that one will always bring the other.

Yeah, I like chickens with colored eggs but it's not that unusual. "Easter eggers" are often sold as araucanas or ameraucanas, although they're more like mixed breeds with colored eggs.

  • i have a chicken like that it hurt its leg and now its bout 2 die any1 know why

  • sometimes they just get hurt and can't eat or they are injured too badly inside and die, I have seen hens live on a bad leg for months and finally heal... chickens just die...

  • lol i kept expecting them to crack open the green egg and look whats inside

  • 0:37 Alot of Concentration goin on..

  • And what is so strange now in it? I had myself in my childhood always approx. 10 chickens which had laid green or blue eggs.

  • 0:37 Epic face.

  • LOL! XD

  • OMFG I WOULD BE LIEK EASTER!

  • great for easter huh?

  • i would buy the cow who lays eggs!

  • green eggs and ham anyone? :P

  • this is very common in south america most in the south of Chile, it can be because of the breed or the feeding of the chickens, there's a race of chikens that lays pale blue eggs, green and even mixed

  • Let them hatch , may be you will get a yellow chicken xD

  • i had a chicken that did that too no big deal

  • now all we need is a green pig...

  • Comment removed

  • no need to paint eggs on Easter :)

  • why not gold

  • one of my chickens laid green eggs before

  • this is actually very common, my chickens lay pale blue, dark green, light green, and even sometimes a pinkish color eggs. It's simply because of there breed, and the chickens don't come out green or blue, they come out just regular..like the mom and dad

  • We used to have chickens and they sometimes laid pale blue eggs. not that unusual.

  • I think it's something to do with the diet, because the free range eggs I get are sometimes green. And as for white and brown eggs... I think it's meant to depend on what colour hen lays the egg.

  • green eggs and ham!

  • hi! is the egg hatched? does the color same as the mother?

  • they dont seem to be furtalized eggs since, im gueesing

they are going to eat them

  • its the easter chicken..eggs looks blue to me. am i color blind?

  • it looked green the first time you see them in the nest but when you see her laying the egg it's BLUE!!

  • they dotn look green to me

  • our chickens did this too ^^

  • why are some eggs white and some eggs beige/brown?

  • I have the americanized auracana chickens...and they always lay blue/green eggs

    so yeah.

  • Chickens that were domesticated from Asian jungle fowl (most species) lay brown through yellow through white. Those species that come from south American fowl Araucana for instance lay blue/green eggs. The chickens in South America were actually brought over by Polynesians in ancient times (>8000 BC)

  • wheres the green pig?
