dirrel slipped and got caught. i see it as a dq because he was deffinitly down. but there was a wet spot on the canvas, he was easily up on the cards and would have won the fight either way.

Kinda just jumping in here, but I think a pass is a little too nice. You could hear that punch connect and unlike what AA and his manager say, I don't think anyone believes Dirrell was faking. AA hits hard and like a few people have said, that's a shot that could drastically damage a guy's career. Suspension and a substantial fine should follow and AA should be a man and apologize. He knew what he did and he even had the nerve to say that Dirrell was faking. It's a shame.

Watch the replay if you get a chance... The shot was not hard at all. I can tell you from personal experience in taking a blind shot (harder and on a more sensitive spot than where Dirrell took it) that this will NOT make your legs tremble.

Yes Dirrell was winning the fight on points but he was clearly in trouble and knew abraham would have koed him so he made more of the punch than what it was. Look up barrera vs marquez the same thing happens and a true warrior like marquez got back up and won the fight. Intentional or not, Abraham hit Dirrell after he slipped and fell, and was seated on the canvas. That's a Disqualification, no matter how you slice it.
Look at the Judges scorecards...
"Italys Guido Cavalleri scored it 97-92, Michigans Frank Garza 98-91 and Thailands Hanek Hongtonhkam had it 97-92."
It was a landslide for Dirrell at that point, who'd frustrated Abraham all fight long by sticking and moving.

At first, it was dirty and bad referee judgment. They didn't count the punch that Arthur Abraham knocked Dirrell down, if I'm not mistaken, it was in the 9-th round. How many times Dirrell hit Arthur below the belt line, below the waist, dirty way of fighting, not even one response from the referee.
Watch the hole fight again and you 'll see how unfair was the "homeland referee staff" to Arthur, trying to secure Dirrell.We have to DQ the referee, no doubt, Dirrell is not a winner.
